Ice Cream

Ok, so I get home from band yesterday and there is a frantic message from my mom on the answering machine telling me to call as soon as I get home. So I call and she said that she volunteered me and KJ to scoop ice cream before the fireworks that night. Yay. We go to Lee's in Logan and they put us in fullout Lee's uniforms; green deli workshirts, white aprons. So we stand around for a few minutes before they take us over to the deli and teach us how to run everything that we might need to run. Lee and Sharry (SP?) Badger, the owners of the store, are wandering around waiting for us to learn everything to that they can being to run a special on the soft-serve ice cream cones. So as soon as we have at least a little bit have the run of how things work (The equivelent of about ten minutes), Lee gets on the P.A. and starts announcing that ice cream cones are 3/1.00. Great. So we start working that night by making a billion of ice cream cones for a billion little kids whose families have already set up camp to watch the fireworks. Eventually there are no more little kids or older people for a while. *Cue Lee* then another announcement. This went on for about an hour and then we were on our own, thank goodness. Grief. It was a nuthouse. At about ten we are finally done and get to help all the fun deli people clean and get ready to go home. Was supposed to go see the fireworks with Austin, Mariah and all those fun people but only saw about the grand finale of them. Not that it really matters. Austin still owes me $50. hee Therefore paycheck + Austin's bet money = $70 yay money for band fees!
