Prom

Oh wow. Last night was so much fun. The day date was so much fun. Stephanie and Brad picked everyone up in their huge 15 passenger van and went up to Sunrise, where they pulled out marshmellow guns and three bags of marshmellows. Imagine playing capture the flag with marshmellow guns, it was so crazy! But it was so much fun. Guys against girls, and the girls won. We also played Ultimate Frisbe and then went out to lunch at A&W. After lunch we went back up to Sunrise and played cirlce dodgeball, which was interesting. Then the girls and guys split to get ready for the dance. Stephaine, Audrey, and Kayla came over to my house to get ready for the dance. Kayla had been picked up by her date, Trent, and had left her stuff in his van, so when we stopped at his house to get it out, we found out that his parents had taken the van, along with Kayla and Stephanie's dresses, to Logan. We ended up getting back to my house, where Stephanie had a shower and started getting ready. I did Audrey's hair, and it was so pretty, and then she pulled out a cream colored flower to put it, which was the same shade as her dress. Then Kayla got in the shower and shortly after she got out, her sister showed up to do her hair. It was kinda punk-ish, but so darn awesome. Better than what I could have done. We'd put in 13 Going on 30 to watch while we got ready, and you know the part where they are doing the photoshoot of the winter formal dance thingy and her hair is all up and pretty and curly? Well, I jokingly told Audrey to do my hair like that, and Kayla's sister said she knew how to do it, and then she told me that she would do it for me, which she did, and then attacked me with glitter (which I'm still covered in). We finally got finished getting ready, and my mom had gotten home with the buttineer (sp??) for Josh, and then we headed outside to the van and my dad took pictures. Almost everyone was ready by the time we made it to Stapley's which was where we were meeting. We finally get everyone packed up and in cars and head off to Clarkston, where Stephanie's mom and uncle had been cooking all day. Japanese food! It was so yummy. There were more desersts than there were real foods. Piled back in the car after dinner to get to SV to get pictures and we were some of the first people there, so we didn't really have to stand in line. Me and Josh did a piggy back for our couple picture, which will be interesting, and our group did this thing where the guys were begging for the girls attention but we weren't giving it. That group shot was my idea...hehe. *cough* anyways. The dance started, we finished out pictures and headed in, and at about 9:30 (ish) we were all dancing in a group mosh-pit type thinger. I had my back to the group because I was dancing in a circle and as I started to turn back around there was a sharp pain that suddenly exploded into my heel. I moved a few steps away from the group before I let myself fall down, and then everyone came running over, partly because I was on the ground and partly because I was crying. Josh picked me up and carried me out, running the last few feet because there were less people. Someone went to find someone with keys to somewhere they could get ice, and Josh ended up setting me down on a chair by the front where they take the money to get into the dance. Kayla and her poofy dress sat down in a chair next to me and pulled my foot onto her leg to keep it elevated. She tried to get me to flex it and compared with my other foot, but it didn't move very well. Mr. Baggley came back from the medical room thing over by the rec center with a huge bag of ice and a roll of plastic wrap and said that I had to have the ice on my heel for 20 minutes. It was sooo cold. I shooed everyone back to the dance, and I tried to get Josh to go dance, and he utterly refused, saying that he needed to stay and make sure that I was okay. After I finally got the bag of cold nasty-ness off my foot, which by that time had fallen asleep, Josh and I walked back into the dance and right after we did a slow song came on. They hadn't played any slow songs while I'd had the ice on my foot, and I felt like they were just waiting for us to come back in, which I know is silly, but there you go. We danced for the next hour and a half, and then headed over to Kevin's house for ice cream. When we walked out the door, I started to get cold, so Josh took off his jacket and drapped it across my shoulders. Then Steph drove home Adree and Stephen, and then me. Josh walked me to my door, and then gave me a hug. I really don't think he knows how much last night meant to me. It was so amazing.
