So yesterday...hmmm, it was interesting. I thought I had to work the lunch shift yesterday, so I get all ready and I ride my little scooter to work only to find out that I don't have to work after all. Which kind of sucked because Dallan had been online and would have come visit me...sadness. Then KJ called me and aparently she was making cookies for the "bedridded" Landon (they were playing a game at band on Friday and Landon and Garvin ran into each other because they weren't paying attention--Garvin ended up with stitches and Landon with a concussion. Serves him right) and so she wanted me to come with her when she went to drop them off. So, her dad drives us up to Landon's house, only to find out that there is no one AT Landon's house. We went back to KJ's house and called Jackie to see if she wanted to hang out, but she wasn't home the first time we called....so KJ decided to call Landon's house to see if he was really there. He'd gone somewhere with his parents, which explained the no one answering the door thing, and so KJ called Jackie to see if she could hang, so we ended up going in her little red Kia to Landon's house, which was vaguely awkward for her since we're all band people but Jackie isn't. Anyways, so we were at Landon's house talking, and Jackie go bored because we had all these band inside jokes so she went outside to wait in the car. Meanwhile, Landon is sitting in a chair, rubbing at his head and looking tired. Me and KJ decided that we shouldn't keep Jackie waiting too long, and me and KJ both hugged Landon (ok, so with my hugs, I have this thing where I usually rub whoever I'm hugging's back, and no one ever has done it to me, unless I was upset or something, but Landon did it back to me, and then winked at me a couple of times as we were walking out) and then left. KJ had a gift card to Wal*Mart, so we all treked into Logan and shopped. I bought a new pair of jeans (since my Silvers have decided to die on me), a tee-shirt, stuff to make my hair go curly when I want it to, a soy chai and a strawberry and creme Frappacino thinger (coffee free, of course). Then KJ, who had stolen Stu's sunglasses, decided that she wanted to take them back to him, so she called him and got his address for his new house, and then we returned a couple of movies for Jackie's mom, and struggled through North Logan (which is north OF Logan...hehe, inside joke...) and eventually made it to his house, where we decided we were going to kidnap him. I had to go home by this point because I had work in an hour, and had been gone...for about four hours. And...well, work...I'll finish about that later. -@-LATER-@- So, work, right... Holy craziness. Out of the five servers we were supposed to have we only ended up having three, so that set everyone on edge as it were, but then I found out that one of the other hostesses wasn't showing up either. So, we were down three staff members and the night had barely started. I ended up taking a table around seven-thirty, eight because the servers were swamped, and I'm a hostess. That first table was a couple in my ward. It was easy. Then about nine-thirty ish a 15 people group came and sat down and there was a two-people table right next to them and everyone thought those two were with the really big table so they sat there for ten minutes (at the least) until I noticed they hadn't been helped and took them as my own table (oh man that sounds so cheesy). At any rate, that was also an easy table. Then it was closed and everything had to get cleaned up, put back where it needed to be, etc. so I didn't end up leaving until...after 11. It was so weird. Then I came home and soaked my aching feet in the tub and read my book and went to bed.
