"My Mask"

I am not who you think I am I am nothing but a show. The person who I really am, Is one you’ll never know. My mask is my self haven, My mask is who you see, The person whom is wearing it, Is not so carefree. My mask can do many things, It works just like a charm, And when I wear my mask, The world can do me no harm. My mask is what keeps me safe. For you must never know, I must keep myself hidden, My dark shadow. Pain, Jealously and Torment and lies, My mask keeps them hidden, Conceals them from your eyes So I will wear my mask, I will be happy just for you, I will keep this pain behind my smile, Waiting for my rescue.
