so wow, its been a long time because i was gone from wednesday until monday, and too tired to write in this on tuesday. so anyway. i was gone, because of the most amazing band trip in the world, they just get better and better each year. wow. wow again. should i explain, im not sure. it would be a lot to go day by day....ok so anyway, ill just recap. THURSDAY: woke up early, drove down to miramar to play for the marines at their base in san diego. that was awsome, the marine band there kicked so much ass. FRIDAY: this was the big festival day. in the morning we went to hometown buffet, awsome, good food, and i played the most amazing card game with 8 of my friends. its called MAO, very hard to explain but its so hilarious. its a russian card game. anyway. bought some new gel at the salon store next to the hometown buffet, and i must say its the best damn shit ive ever put in my hair, its the strongest hold ever, called shortsexyhair. its awsome but thats not the point. we played at some highschool for symphonic band. i think it went pretty well(ill describe the scores later) cause thats what i thought after we were done. then we waited around for awhile, and drove over to fullerton college for jazz band at 6:30. wow this sucked so much, our director said we played the best ever there, and we felt it too, but our clinic was shit. this guy was a real dick, i cant even describe how much of an ass he is , but for those of you who know. arg. he gave us a score of 19, 19, 19, 19, all out of 20, then a big lame 8 out of 20 on expression, damnit, the other judge gave us 18,17,19,17,17 and that was pretty good. im not sure about those numbers but our average was 87 and an 84, so we got a lame 2 when we could have had 93 and 87 which would have balanced to at least a 90.0 or something liek that. damn we deserved better. anyway. we were all so pissed after that, and i didnt want to do anything. i was walking around and then i met up with some drummers, they said "hey andy go wrestle austin" this huge freshman about twice my weight it seemed, even if i was taller. so i wrestled him, he got to into it, and everyone dog piled him and beat his ass, ok maybe not but they did rip him off me. if i had known we wre really going to rumble i would have beat him. anyway. friday was good, we jumped in the pool at the hotel, and then 30 of us got in the hottub, i was surprised the manager didnt kick us out. yep good stuff. oh i forgot to mention on thursday we went to the beach, that was awsome, i look sexy with my shirt off haha. yeah so that was friday. SATURDAY: DISNEYLAND woo the happiest place on earth, needs no introduction...it was a sweet day and then it got to the award ceremony. got i was tense waiting outside that huge theatre inside california adventure. then my director pulls me aside along with 4 other kids and says we get to accept the awards for certain groups, SCHWING that kicked ass i got on stage wooo and everyone cheered for me as i accepted the silver for jazz 2. yeah that was nice. and then we sat in our seats, and they announced other scores. man it was chaos, our section was so fired up. most of our bands got silvers, and we all got our hopes down. but then, we won the spirit of anaheim award and we shouted and cheered. then later we won the instrumental award, and eventually WE SWEPT. thats right we won the SWEEPSTAKES AWARD for the entire heritage festival, all thanks to jazz 1 and varsity choir!!!!man, we celebrated on the way back to the hotel, gosh it kicked ass. turns out the judges were really tough this yaer, only one concert band recieved a gold rating. so we didnt feel so bad when we found out everyone got silver pretty much and we swept everything. i love it. woo.. ok, i dont even want to talk about saturday im so happy now, wowowowow, not saying saturday was bad, but im all typed out. wow. it was a schwingtastic weekend!!!!!
