Listening to: Tin Foil Phoenix- Ms. Genova
Feeling: ecstatic
If ever I needed a reason to re-affirm what is the one and only thing I can do with my life, I got it tonight.
I went to the second of the 5 Comedy Festival shows that I'll be going to this week tonight. The theme was all about men, and it featured some great Canadian talent: John Wing, Glen Foster, Al Rae, Simon B. Cotter, Greg Eckler, Jim McAleese, and Lisa-Gay Tremblay. (Yeah, that's her name, kinda sucks but what can ya do.)
But the host of the evening....ohhhh the host, was Peter Keleghan.
For those of you who don't know him, first of all you should really find out because you're missing out...and secondly you may know him as Jim Walcott on The Newsroom, or Alan Roy (my fave) on Made in Canada (also my fave) or even as Ranger Gord on The Red Green Show.
I nearly cried I laughed so hard. That man, aside from being one of my biggest idols, is one of the biggest reasons I want to do the work I want to do; that is write and perform comedy. After the show, he was nice enough to give me an autograph and chat with me, and even posed with me for a couple pictures, which I will treasure. haha
Basically words can't describe the JOY I am feeling, so I won't try anymore. But here's to the next three shows this weekend! WOOT!
I'm glad you had a good time.
Did you end up going with anybody?
