Listening to: Reel Big Fish- Story of My Life
And Mike's a punk.:P haha. Yeah don't think I didn't see you using my schtick for naming my entries on your page buddy boy. You just wait, one of these days I am going to cut you up so bad that....that....that you'll wish I hadn't cut you up so bad mayne.
So I saw a story the other day, on the television, about the latest study in the ongoing series of "things that can now be considered fatal." It appears that if you drink too...much...water it could be fatal to your health.
...
I'm going to let that sink in for a second.
...
Okay, one more time...drinking too...much...water can possibly be fatal to your health.
I'm not even going to begin to tell you how retarded that is.
"Next on CNN...breathing causes cancer, strokes, heart attacks and one mean case of anal warts...after this commercial break. Stay with us."
I think this brings up a very important issue that not enough people think about, mainly the fact that the American media is all about scare tactics. They know that fear brings ratings and so almost every story is geared towards something we should fear cuz they know it'll make you watch. Michael Moore brought this up in his movie "Bowling for Columbine" but then again Michael Moore is a douchebag and therefore who really cares.
But getting back to the topic of mainstream media trying to scare people into good ratings, I also think that this issue is faaaaaar too complex for me to deal with right now as i am tired. So I think i'll get more into it next time.
Oh, and by the way...everyone go out and pick up two new discs that were released this past week: Reel Big Fish's "We're Not Happy 'Til You're Not Happy", and Millencolin's "Kingwood". I would highly recommend both of those. And no, I was not paid for that advertisement. I'm just a guy with too much time on his hands.
Love, peace and chicken grease.
