Well, first of all, I'll let you all know that I am not sick anymore, except for that occasional cough, you know?
Tonight I'm staying at Shawnie's house so when I get off here I'm going to go pack. But first, here's how my three-day weekend went.
Okay, so we were in the car, heading for Greymouth. It's about a three-hour drive. Along the way we passed these INCREDIBLE rock formations. We figured, by the looks of it, they were probably part of where LOTR was filmed.
We also went through these mountains to get to Greymouth. Remember these mountains until the end of my story.
(20 mins left)Finally we arrived at the Charles Court Hotel where we were in room 15. It had two bedrooms, one(the one we slepped in) had three beds. The second one was connected to the kitchen and was also the living room. That's where mum and dad slept. The TV was in that room, and they had Sky. There was a bathroom attatched to the kitchen with a sink and then the room RIGHT next to that was the toilet and shower.
We settled down, and after we brought almost everything in to the hotel rooms, we got back in the car and headed for the Pancake Rocks and Blowhole. They were awesome. The Pancake Rocks were a whole bunch of stacks of rocks and it was soooo cool. Then the blowhole was awesome too because whenever the wave was really powerful water spurted through the holes like a whale's blowhole. And remember, this is all NATURAL!
Then, after we got many pictures, we got back in the car and went back to the Hotel. The next day we went to Fox Glacier. It was an hour walk all together, so about a 30 minute walk up and back. It was more like a 15 minute walk up and back but...you know. Then we got lots of pictures and drove to Frans Josef Glacier. It was cooler than Fox Glacier, and it was so awesome. We passed so many waterfalls so we have lots of pictures of waterfalls. ^^
When we got back to the hotel, we kind of packed up and went to sleep, then in the morning we finished packing up and got in the car to leave. On our way out of Greymouth we stopped at Monteiths Brewing Company and got a tour of how beer was made. Afterwards they had a tasting of beer and all the kids and whoever didn't want to taste beer got fizzies. I got orange. ^^
Then we headed back through those same mountains I told you about, right? They were sprayed with snow! Only three days, and they'd gotten snow. It's odd because we were so close to those mountains and we got no snow. Anyway, we passed those same rocks again only this time we stopped and went up to them, and we climbed all over them. It was really fun. Finally we got home to our nice, cold home. Well, house. Home is where my kitties and dog are. I still have 10 minutes left, but I'll end this here.
There ya go, Shawnie. I told you I'd have one waiting for you in the morning!! Love y'all! Bye.
