This morning I woke up, and Dad told me NOT to go back to sleep. And I did. And Teresa came and woke me up at about 7:50 and said, "Don't you have school today?" And I got so freaked out that my mom and dad would get mad at me that I jumped out of bed and threw on my uniform. I went into the living room trying to figure out if I should try and make my lunch, when Teresa came up and started making a lunch for me, and she was fixing it and said, "Could you pour yourself some juice?" It was just then when I realised, "AWWW CRAP! It's Travis Swamp day!" So I ran back to my room and changed AGAIN into my mufti and hiking boots and made sure my sports uniform and running shoes were on. And my big sister being the angel she was, had my lunch all ready and was pouring my drink for me when I came back in. I took it and thanked her and made sure I had everything as Teresa went through my checklist and I thanked her again (I think...) and I left for the bus stop. When I got to the bus stop, I'd zoned out, and when I finally came to, the bus was RIGHT there and people were getting on, so I hurried and got on and got out my book and read. So finally I was getting close to my stop and I put the book away and I was reaching for the button when Sharney pressed it first so I just waited for him to stop, and as I was getting off I quickly said, "Thank you!" and I went to school. I got there and everyone was in these nice clothes and these nice jackets and I was like, "Ooookay..." Then I put my bag away and went back outside and DJ and Rhys and Jesse were like launching at us and trying to push us down and they didn't launch at me but they tried to get Shawnie but all she did was stumble instead. The bell rang and me and Liz and Shivani and Nicole and whoever else was with us and we went inside. Mrs. Thomas told us a bit more about Travis Swamp and then she told us to go to the bathroom before we went and then we all got in line to go to the bus. When we got to the bus, Alesha was sitting with me and Colleen and then Sarah sat next to me and Alesha saw Olivia and Georgia and she ran over to the next four seats and sat there, calling Olivia and Georgia over and then Colleen went over there too. And I tried to move so I would be across from Alesha and she said, "Let's put our bags there," so I said, "Ookay," and I sat back down. GOD! It was so annoying. And it also kinda hurt my feelings but that's ok. So we got to Travis Swamp and we did some activities and that was kinda fun, I guess, and I was running to Colleen, saying, "Hey Colleen!" and Alesha said, "Hey, you're MY buddy!" and I said, "I KNOW but I was just going to Colleen." When we were getting back on the bus, I sat next to Alesha and she's like, "Aww I wanted Olivia and Georgia to sit there!" and I said, "Figured," and went to some other seat and Reuben said, "That was rude, Alesha," and Alesha said, "I didn't mean it like that!" and he said, "Well it was still rude." Then Mrs Thomas called us back out. We had to thank the instructor and then we boarded the bus again, and then I was looking for a seat and Alesha had scooted over and was trying to get me to squeeze onto the seat with her but the way she was treating me, I didn't really want to and so Liz said, "Hey, Chelsea, sit here," so I went over and sat there, but then Nicole said, "Hey can you guys move and swap places with them cause we'd planned to sit together." So I got my stuff and Liz got her stuff and she and I went somewhere down the bus and she said, "That was so rude, eh? We were sitting there first!" and I said, "Yeah...but that's how people are I guess," and so we had so much fun just us two like talking about how we hated houses that were brightly coloured. She showed me this GIANT building that glass like...ALL around it and she said, "That's the coolest house in Christchurch" and I was like, "THATS A HOUSE???" and she said, "Yeah." I said, "As in, a human being lives there?" and she said, "Yeah." I said, "WICKED!" It was a AWESOME HOUSE! It had a lift in the middle with doors on all sides and it was all glass. It looked like a REALLY TALL hotel or something! And Liz said it has a WICKED view. Yeah. So we got back to school and I got my lunch and I went with Liz and Nicole and Shivani and Lizzie to the lunch thingy and Liz went with me in the sun while the others stayed ni the shade and we ate and then when we were walking out, we saw Shawnie and we walked with her and stole her nachos. Then Liz went with....ermm...Nicole and Shivani and Lizzie I think. I went and changed for PE cause I was still in my mufti and then me and Shawnie went to the amphi-theater but Jesse was in there so we left and went to the hill outside and a bit later Nick came over and he said, "Are you still friends wif Jesse?" to Shawnie and Shawnie said, "I don't know." We figured Jesse was in the bushes so I went in to check and there he was, looking at me and curled up in a ball like a little hurt animal. It was scary. I laughed and went back and told Shawnie that he was there. Yeah. Me and Shawnie had walked to the field when Alesha and Olivia and Georgia were practicing the dance and I was trying to practice it and Alesha said, "OH MY GOD SHE CANT DO IT SHE'S LIKE," and she tried to immitate me and...that was REALLY nice of her. Later Georgia came up to me and said, "Hey I'm sorry for making fun of you," and I said, "That's ok. I can't dance anyway," and she said, "You're way better than me!" Well that was nice of her to attempt to cheer me up. Then it was time for Sport and Shawnie and I said we'd meet again after school and sport was pretty fun...except for the fact that I'd been slapped on the head by a certain DANIEL and then DJ and Rhys came and Rhys pushed me on top of DJ so that was painful. So I had a headache, and then when we were lining up for PE, I went inside to get my sunhat and I tangled my foot on a plastic bag while I was walking over it and I tripped and I got rug burns on my knee and elbow. So that was also painful. Sprinting was so boring because I was tired but High-jump was fun except when I kept running into the bar. Everyone always went "Ooooo!" whenever you seemed to hit the bar at an...uncomfortable position. I couldn't clear the last two so that was sad. And it was the first time I'd ever high-jumped when I did the first one and I cleared it and I was like, "GO ME!" After school I met Shawnie and we went to the gate where we saw Shawnie's mum and we were telling her about what C&H had done to Shawnie and then she said, "Hey," to me, "do you want a ride home, if it's ok with your parents?" and I said, "Well only if it's ok with you..." and she said, "Oh it's fine with me. I've been sitting at home bored all day." So then I got in and she took me home. "I'd rather chase your shadow all my life than be afraid of my own. I'd rather be with you, I'd rather not know."
