;Chapter 12

Jesse stayed at the door quietly sobing, just wishing Aries would open the door. "Aries please..." He said every 2 minutes. She could hear her brother. "Why should I open the door after what he's done to me?" She questioned. Finally she couldn't take it anymore and opened the door. Jesse stood there staring at her white tearstained cheeks and bloodshot eyes. Aries shook her head and walked past Jesse and to their room. She didn't bother getting her pajamas on, Aries just climbed up to her bed and faced the wall. Jesse followed her slowly, asking himself a million questions. Entering the room he glanced at his sister, closed eyes although he knew she wasn't asleep. Jesse saw small tears run off her nose and onto her pillow. He figured there was no point in trying to talk to her. There was something about Aries when she was mad. She shunned everyone out, and was damn good at it. If someone pissed her off, all she had to do was look at them and they knew to back off. Jesse couldn't do that. He couldn't back off, he was the one his sister was mad at, and it was the first time in history that had ever happened. The next day Jesse awoke to an empty bed across the room. He jumped off his own bed and ran to the bathroom, but was surprised when he came to an open door and no Aries. He looked around the studio, down in the rec room, out side in the back, no Aries. Jesse got ready and headed for school but ran into Kelsey walking down the side of his house. She knew Jesse hadn't slept at all, and neither did she. You could still see the stain of tears down Kelsey's tanned face. The walked in silence all the way to school. During gym Kelsey didn't feel like doing anything. She sat out saying that she didn't feel well. Her coach looked at her in shock and agreed to it because Kelsey never asked to sat out. She sat blankly beside the soccer feild thinking. The sky was dark, a storm was comming. Kelsey felt a sting of water on her shoulder. It felt like a hundered daggers stabbed her in the back. After the bell rang, both Kelsey and Jesse ran to the science hallway only to see Aries sitting outside the class with her knees pressed against her chest. The small figure played with her shoelace and wiped a tear off her cheek. When the door opened she got up and walked in, taking a seat in the opposite corner in whcih she usualy sat to avoid her so called 'friends'. Jesse and Kelsey gave up and sat in their usual spot. Every person who walked through the door stared with confused looks at the sight of the three of them apart. Aries dreaded the next hour, lunch. After class she bolted out quickly to find an empty place where she could sit and write her heart away. She dashed to the stairway by the gym and sat beside the first set of stairs. "They will never look for me here."She whispered to herself as she pulled out her notebook.
