That was it. Max didn't need to hear it again. Before anyone could say anything he was running. Sam was still on the ground, not crying but still a little shaken. Corey wiped the blood off her cheek and helped her up.
Braedan was already in the house getting all Max's groupies out. Nathan turned around and walked towards Sam. Her eyes were red and she was breathing heavily.
Corey made sure Sam was stable and nodded at Nate and walked abck in the house.
"I...-" Sam started to say before Nate cut her off.
"It's okay.. he's not comming near you ever again." He wrapped his arms around her tightly as she stood there, calming herself to the point where she'd be able to walk back in the house.
"Come on." Nate helped her back in the house.
She broke away from him at the kitchen and walked upstairs to the bathroom to clean up.
"I think this party is over." Braedan joked. Corey nodded his head.
"Yeah. C'mon let's clear the house." Nate said. Alex and Chelsey started picking up beer bottles around the kitchen and putting them into the empty boxes.
Corey, Braedan and Nate all ushered everyone out of the house. Sam sat in the bathroom on the floor, chewing her thumb nail replaying what happened in her head. The way he just came onto her. She had no way of stopping it, and then seeing a whole knew side of Nate, was a lot to handle in one night. She crawled over to the toilet and threw up into the porcelin bowl. Her stomach was turning and she threw up once more. She grabbed a peice of toilet paper and wiped her mouth, flushed the toilet and walked over to the sink.
Flushing her face with water made her head stop spinning. She took a gulp of mouthwash and sat back down leaning against the bathtub.
Five minutes later a knock came at the door. Sam didn't answer.
"Sam.. it's me, can I come in?" She stayed quiet and Nate carefully opened the door and closed it behind him.
He looked at her and she was staring back at him with her blue eyes filling up again with tears. He sat down beside her and pulled her against his chest.
"Are you alright?" She nodded into his chest and cried. Being held by him made her feel better.
"I never thought...-" She started again but couldn't finish.
"You never thought I would react like that." He smiled as she starred up at him.
"I don't usualy get that mad. Just Sam, having that one glance of another guy hurting you sent me into the spin cycle. I don't like even thinking about it. I.. I love you too much."
A smile emerged from her lips and she wiped a tear off her cheek.
"Tired?" he asked her.
"Exhausted."
"Okay." Nate smiled and picked Sam like a baby and carried her out of the bathroom. Braedan was comming out of his bedroom with beer bottles in one hand and dirty sheets in another.
He nodded his head at the door.
"Go in there, it's cool."
"Thanks" Nate said as he carried Sam into Braedan's bedroom and layed her down on the bed.
"You staying?" She asked half asleep.
"If you want me too." She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the bed. He lay down beside her and put his arm around her stomach. Sam didn't need a blanket. Nate was all she needed.
He was all she wanted right then.
