Code Red, Y'all: Cotillion Report!

Feeling: wistful
HYPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEER!!!!!! omg wow I got to bed at about 2:30 last night but I had so much fun! But now there is nothin' to do so I'll tell you about last night, aka the first time this whole year I actually did something. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once I got home from getting my hair done, I had 15 minutes to get ready because my hair lady was being really slow. My friends Adam, Trisha, and Lilly Jo showed up early too, so I kept them waiting for about 5 minutes (which wasn't bad, actually). We ended up getting to Trisha's grandma's house early, which was where we were eating. I expected something nice, but HOT DAMN!!! That food was AWESOME! They even set up the table all fanciful Christmaslike.... I felt special. ^_^ I had some cross between a strapless bra and a half corset thing on though, so I couldn't fit as much in my belly as I usually can. :( But anyway, once we left there we went to our friend Christine's new house to see it. They just moved in this weekend and it was right by Trisha's grandma's house. Then we went to Lilly Jo's house, where Lilly Jo's date, my date (she'd set me up with him), and all of her friends were going to show up after a while. These included Jake and Juanita, Zack and Megan, Lindell (LJ's date), and Blake (my date). While we were waiting we played with her fuzzy dog, which was adorable, but they were all late. Once we'd got pictures at Lilly Jo's house and her neighbor's house, we were fifteen minutes late to our pictures. The people still got us in for pictures though. Blake was nice and bought us both keychains with our picture on them. Anyway, once we got them, Adam and Trisha split up from all of us. The rest of us rode to Zack's house to get pictures. Nobody wanted to drive to my house with Blake and me to get pictures because it was out of the way, but Blake said he'd go and I thought that was really sweet of him. [When I got home, I found out that my mom's mother had just been put in the hospital due to COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). In English,, for those who don't know medical terms, it's something to due with her lungs and we don't know if she'll be home for Christmas. =( ] Dad was the only one there and took some pictures, and mom got home from taking Momma into the hospital right then. She got to see us for a few minutes, but we had to go because we were going to be late to the dance; it was 8:50 and it was going to take us a good 10 minutes to get to Vincennes and another 10 to get across it to where the dance was. The dance started at 9:00. And of all things...... we had to wait for a damned train! And it utterly just STOPPED for like 5 minutes! We were laughing and saying it'd probably fall over on us though. It was actually pretty funny. He was pretty cute, and goofing off in a car with a cute college guy makes the train not so bad, even if you are late for your first formal dance. The dance lasted until midnight anyway. We were both uncoordinated dancers on the slow dances so we just went with the flow on those, and during the fast dances he sat down with his friends and I got up and danced stupidly with Trisha, Tiffany (another one of my friends), and random other people. I took a bunch of pictures of peeps I knew, and my girl friends were all so pretty dressed up! ^_^ As for the guys? They cleaned up pretty nicely. *laughs* Trisha, Adam, and I hung out after Cotillion. Blake went with Lilly Jo and Co.; I gave him a hug and said thank you for the good time. He was a nice guy. I said goodbye to the people I knew since we were leaving twenty minutes early (we wanted to get out of the parking lot before it looked like a mafia scene with everyone trying to get out at once). The three of us went to Denny's. Our friend Amy and her boyfriend James were supposed to meet us, but they had to go drop someone off somewhere. Instead, our friend Pete and his older brother Paco came in and we asked them to come sit with us. Eventually this Tolliver boy came in and sat with us too. Once we all ordered and had finished, we all decided it'd be funny to dare Paco to eat some nasty mix of things; he'd ordered pancakes, and he downed straight at least two shot glasses worth of ketchup, mustard, and milkshake mixed together. About 1:30 I found out that I'd ate too much of my brownie in my retarded little corset thingy because I felt kinda sick. I probably would have thrown up if Trisha hadn't have loosened some of the hooks. My curfew was 2 and hers was too until she'd decided to go to Amy's house, so it was time to go anyway. I didn't feel like going to Amy's so Adam and her took me home before Trisha went to Amy's house. (Trish and I live a mile apart, and Amy doesn't live much farther away; we all be neigh-bahs. =P) Now for the exciting part: I took off the fancy clothing shit I had on and WENT TO SLEEP! WAHOO! lol... sleep was good. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That was my first formal dance everyone. I had a lotta fun.... the only thing that coulda made it funner was if it were my boyfriend Andrew as my date instead of Blake, but Andrew lives in Arkansas. Ahh well, maybe he can come next time? :) In the meantime, hanging with Blake and my friends was great. I do know one thing about all this, though... if you've taken the time to read all of this shit, you must be as bored as I was to write all of it down. wow you are a very bored child i am sry
sounds like buttloads of fun. Dances are usually better when you're with your boyfriend, but guess it wasn't too bad for you. Hey, what part of Arkasas does he live in?
