my mom was this close [ ... ] to a stroke. she had the symptoms, she fainted right in front of me, and we had to take her to the ER. but she WILL be ok. my moms friend mentioned to pray, but i think its unfair for me to pray. why ask god something only when you need something? seems hypocritical to me, it really does. therefore, i didn't pray. all i had was faith and hope. but she WILL be ok.

Praying to God only went you want something is better than never. And you'll start getting more and more comfertable talking with him, that you'll want to talk to him for reasons other than needing something.
Since when have Leo & I been friends? Well, I've been AWARE of Leo for about a month. The first entry of his that I ever saw was his 27Jan one. I was immediately impressed by his writing (his scarf too), &, SPEAKING FOR MYSELF ONLY, he's been my friend ever since. I hope he feels likewise, because I too think he's very awesome.
I'm glad to hear your Mother's condition seems stable. Everyone wishes her the best!

oh yeah. and man I don't pray as often but when something happens like that I do pray because this prayer is for a person you love and not for yourself. Tha't how I feel about it. I don't pray for myself though because then I feel guilty. But I do pray for others; that seems fair to me.
