OH MY GOSH THE BEST THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME!!!I SUBMITTED A POEM TO POETRY.COM AND I GOT SOMETHING IN THE MAIL TO DAY FROM THEM...WELL I DIDN'T GET IT TILL NOW AND WHEN I OPENED IT IT SAID... "Dear Pearl, After carefully reading and discussing your poem, our Selection Committee has certified your poem as a semi-finalist in our International Open Poetry Contest. Your poem will automaticly be entered into the final competition held March 2004. As semi-finalist, you now have an excellent chance of winning one of 104 cash or gift prizes--including the $1000.00 Grand Prize. You may even win the $10,000.00 Annual Grand Prize! We wish you the best of luck as you compete for these prizes in the coming weeks." ALSO THEY'RE PUTTING IT IN THEIR BOOK!!! I'M SO EXCITED...ALTHOUGH I WONT GET THE BOOK CUZ IT COSTS $50.00 BUT IS THAT NOT SO TOTALLY COOL OR WHAT???? I'M SOOO HAPPY NOW!!! MY WHOLE MOOD HAS CHANGED SINCE EARLIER (read preevious entry) BUT I'M SO EXCITED AND HAPPY NOW!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! i have one person to thank...and thats chad...i wrote it on the spot when i was commenting you once after you and a girl broke up...you inspired me! and now this totally cool thing happened to me! thank you!! here is my poem: LOVE at our young age the future is nothing but haze we don't know who we're destined for all we know is that we need more of love we can't deny ourselves pushing deeper all those nails we are crucified to our hearts we can't help the way it smarts but once again we bounce back and once again we fully attack! i though it was kinda nerdy but i guess they liked it!! EEEEKKK!!!
