Snowed In

Well, the bitter cold turned into a freakishly large amount of snow today. Living in Detroit where it never snows, I stopped listening to weather reports and getting my hopes up, so I didn't even know that it was supposed to snow. On Monday, my roommate said that it was a snow day, and I looked out the window to see it was snowing out. Then he said he was "just kidding", so I "just threw a book at his head". We have that kind of relationship. He says things, I tell him to shut up, he gets mad, I laugh at his anger. It's the usual roommate relationship. Classes were cancelled today, which was cool because they said that the classes after 12:00 were cancelled, and I didn't have a class until 1:00. I was pissed though, because I woke up early just to go to the bookstore (which is a HUGE ripoff with books), and they said that they were closed. I got all pissed and said that they should just close down the whole campus. I saw there was a bunch of cars leaving the campus, but I thought that one of the classes got out early. I got back to my room and my roommate said that we didn't have class. He said that he called me and I just didn't answer the phone, I said that I wasn't home. Funny thing, I really was home, I just thought it was one of his crazy-ass relatives calling my room and talking to me, so I let the phone ring...14 TIMES! You would think that after a little bit, you would get the hint that someone isn't going to answer the phone! Well, he tells me that there's no class, so then I walk out into the hallway and there's a huge sign that says the same thing, there's one in the lobby which I didn't go through, and theres three emails in my e-mailbox saying that there were no classes. I feel kinda stupid that I walked all the way across campus to go to something that wasn't open when there was like, a bunch of obvious clues it was open. But hey, fuck you, I don't actually start thinking until I've been up for about two hours. I don't know, I wish I could get out of here and go to school where people drink for social reasons, and hot because they're, as the medical term calls them "alcoholics". Anyway, I'm done ranting and I'm getting feeling back in my fingers after walking across campus, so I'm outta here. Question of the day: Is the cookie stand part of the food court? (If you know what movie this is from, seriously, you kick ass)
