Okay, sorry to use this thing as like a soapbox to say what I'm pissed about overall with stuff in general, but I'm gonna. I was reading the headlines at some magazine at work, and it was like the Olsen Twin anorexia thing, which sucks but I think is really getting too much coverage. And then they had some other girl saying how she feels all this pressure to fit into her same clothes when she's doing these movies. The problem here is that even though there's a pressure in Hollywood to look like that, guys in general don't want somebody to have a perfect body. I mean, this whole "I have to be thin" thing is completely bullshit. You don't have to be thin for somebody to think that you're attractive, it's actually better if you have a little meat on your bones. Being like, thin and bony and shit is seriously a huge turn-off. I mean, if you're up around the 210, 215 level and you're like, 5'6 or something...you might want to try to lose some of that, but you people who are like, 5 pounds overweight, it's no big deal! I mean this obsession with looks is bullshit. If you just act like who you really are, have a good personality, a sense of humor, and can have a decent conversation with people, that's so much better then just looks alone. I mean, time goes on, you get fatter, more wrinkles, etc, so if you're just basing who you date on looks...it's kind of pointless. And because of how women on magazines and stuff like that look, even girls who I think/know are good looking, dont think that they're like that just because they don't look like whoever is on some bullshit magazine or something, and it's fuckin' stupid. And besides, different people are hot to people for different reasons. Just because somebody's got the whole blonde hair/blue eyes thing doesn't automatically mean that they're gorgeous to everybody. I mean, the two girls who I've known that I've always that were like the best looking, one is a brunette, and the other one currently has pink hair, which...although many people would think that's a little too different, they manage to pull it off, and pretty well too. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that just because something in Hollywood or someone on magazines are a certain trend doesn't mean that we automatically have to think that way. I mean, because of this bullshit standard that women are apparently held to, almost any girl that I think is hot has like, no self-esteem either because they don't look like "that", and that's bull. Anyway...sorry to go off on this rant here, but there was somebody at work I was talking to, she was hot, said she wasn't, said why, I started ranting on here. That's about it. Anyway, I'm stepping down from my soap box here, and I'm outta here.
