nerveshot

I have been worrying myself sick about All-State auditions since they occurred. Today, we learned who got in. Mr. Calloway thankfully started with the tenors. Georgia held my hand as he announced he would write our names first. Hee, I love Georgia, she's such a good friend. So first, he wrote down Kevin's last name and score, which was 159. Ian got in with a 156. And then...he wrote MY last name!!!!! 155!!!!! "fdnbep958t43df!" would have to be my first response. People clapped and cheered and stuff, which was nice. Then, he wrote down Ty's name, with a score of 149, which made me smile profusely, because Ty is a sophomore. Then, he did basses, where Zack made it. Next was the SSA choir, and in first soprano, I didn't really care about anyone who made it except Aaron, who did, indeed, make it. Then he did 2nds, and the two sophomore 2nds both made it. And then the altos, where Jean made it!!! Then, he did SATB girls. Georgia did not make it, which made me very sad. Then, he did the 2nds, and Ann Forrest and Liz both made it, of course. Liz wasn't expecting to make it, but I knew she would. I think everyone did. Finally, they got to my dear friends, the altos. "With a score of 153..." and he wrote down Aimée's name! We were all shocked and thrilled because we had no idea she'd be our top alto. Next were Angela (no contest there) and Amanda (@whee!!!!). And then I think was this senior named Rachel. And finally, Mr. Calloway pretended like he was finished with the altos, but in actuality, I think his plan had been to skip someone all along, because the next thing he did was write down Emily's last name on the board and her score. Heh. I knew she'd make it. So my nerves are totally shot from being so nervous, but yay to all my friends for making All-State and yay to me for finally making it too.
