Mid-summer night drive looking out over skyline blvd. in the back of a truck bed. Your body pressed hard against mine, your heart against me. The moment takes over all senses to let me feel for an instant- to become lost in thoughts of what could have or may have been. So pull the blanket close, entangle our legs so as to never let this go. For this brief second I can feel something that is so close it makes me quiver. The realness sets in with hot breath climbing up my neck. We left our sense behind in a cloud of smoke tonight where we met up. WE felt so high, so high i could feel my body splitting as your ruby eyes shot through my own- sending pulses down my spine where they resided in my stomach. Exploding. LEtting me see you not as I have before. I could see right through you, down in deep -to see right into you. And colors illuminate from within you to stream life out of you. Cop lights flashing and brushing up against your face, =your face bathed in color projecting shadows agianst my heart. For this moment i can get lost in such things that feel real. As we hit turns and laugh for getting let off, i pull you closer just so i can make this feeling last a minute more. Crash into me, let your everything fall into my every need. WE could find our way into my house, we could find our way into ourselves. But how long can a moment last before it is over? Why form things when it is just present to replace what is lacking? Missing? And in my head I'd press lips hard against yours instead of just your warm cheek. But in my head I'm hardly the person I ever am. And with summertime, its warm enough to sleep alone. You were just my escape to reality.
