Back on the Horse

Its been a while since I made an entry because life has been busy.

Last weekend Amanda and I talked, and we're actually gonna do the whole committed thing. So I have a girlfriend again... which is weird for me. Even stranger is that its exclusive... I haven't been actually exclusively committed to somebody in forever. Since Kat and I had an open relationship I had gotten used to the idea of just having free reign... I never took advantage of it, but the chance was there. Its weird to have to remind myself that I am under an obligation to turn down any advances... it makes flirting much more "catch and release" and much less "Free for all". For the first time in years I am faced with limitations.

She's worth it though. I'm glad to be her boyfriend, as strange as that still sounds to me. Its as if I had gotten so used to being alone that I just assumed I would be forever.

Early this week I was flown out to Calgary along with 40ish other members of my SIFE team in order to compete in the ACE Western Canadian Regional Expo. About a dozen schools competed on 3 topics (Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Green Business) and we came out with 2 golds and a silver (Mt. Royal University beat us out for Green Business) so we're bringing our Finance and Entrepreneurship teams to the Nationals in mid-May. I hope I get support team for that event... flying all the way out to eastern Canada for the competition would be an incredible experience.

Thats my life lately in a nutshell.

Exams are coming up... thats gonna occupy time. I dunno how often I'll be posting here in the near future, there's just so much going on in regards to school that its making my head spin.

I'll keep posting though.

hey friend, good for you with amanda. being exclusive and limited is worth it if it's with the right person.
