last night I helped with billing at my job. I stuffed about 800 envelopes with all the bill information and such. No big deal. I did an assembly line process and got got them done in about 5 hours. The monitor that worked before me had folded all the inserts and that helped. So I am using this bottle fed sponge thing to wet the ink well its a bit worn out and it was letting to much water out so i guess the envelopes got a little wet and a few stuck together. Not really a bid deal maybe one out of 50 had any problem. But when the boss looked at them and saw that they weren't perfect the onyl thing she said was next time they better be better. We "are" running a business her. And begins to go on about how the letters need to look profesional. Well I am not a professional letter stuffer. I profess no previous experience to stuffing mass quanity mail. I just did the task and got it done the best i could do in a reasonible time. But it pissed me off that i basically did extra work and got insulted becasue it wasn't up to her stanards. What really set the anger into place was when she told me next time to lick all the envelopes so this would happen again. That pissed me off. I dont like licking envelopes. THe glue has always made my tongue and throat swell its gross and here she is telling me to like 900 envelopes for billing. GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! thats ridiculous ur not even really suppose to lick envelopes at all. Htey have all sorts of gross stuff in them. like cockroach eggs and other nasties. Grrr. Did 5 hours of an annoying job and all I got for it was one more lecture hinting at my worthlessness in her eyes. Only 5 more months before i am out of debt and can afford to go back to school. Guess I'll just grin and bare it till then.
