been working the last six days in a row, averaging a nice 9 hours each day. Got one more day before I get a day off. That will be nice. I'll get a decent paycheck atleast. Was planning to go to ICC, for those not VTM players that s really big get togother of all the vampires form all over in the game. Its in ST Louis this year. But I don't think I will have the money to go. I'll, see the day before the event. Any way if I don't I'll still have four days off in a row. As well as some money to spend on something other then bills for once. Im startiing on an armor making project right now. Mixing the old with the new. When I am done I will have a nice suit of armor that I could wear in the any reanactment event, that will stop a bullet and turn a knife. It will probably weight at my current estimate about 35 pounds. Which is not too bad over all. Its going to be a lamellar suit of alliminum, underlayed with a chainmaille messh of stainless steel. THis stuff is really fined weaved and almost looks like a qweird combo of cashmir and silk form about 1o feet away. Its also light weigth. Then I got to get the underpadding made. Thats going to be made of special high impact foam. Much like what they put in sparring gear except the next step up in quality. The bullent proof part will require some kevlar and or maybe spider silk. I don't know, thats more of a pointless adventure on my part, that I'll never actually do. Then I have to make some more stuff, Like the shoulders, right now I am just modifying a set of football pads I aquirred. But I have began hand crafting a pair of leather shoulder guards that I will use for events. The footbal pads are just to effective for me not to use though, atleast till I get some metal pauldron and a gorget., But thats some time down the road. Yup thats my basic armor plan. i've got the design sketched and I am going to to do a lighter leather model real soon to get the skills down. Then I'll make the real chain mail sleeves and the splinted leather skirt. I have to buy the elbow cops, knee guards. greaves, guantlet, a helm and the chain mesh but I am going to make all the rest. It will be fun. Even got the sources to make a proper heraldric symbol for it and everything. What fun it will all be. When I get it done I plan to aquirre a digital camera from one of my relatives and post pics of it on the web. In a website that is yet to be made. Which is one more project entirely.
