I read a sad story in the paper about a 7 year old boy from Toronto. The boy was caught in a custody battle between his recently divorced parents. The judge eventually awarded custody to the boys mother because of a history of beatings from the Father. The ruling was later overturned because it was discovered the boys mother would beat him just as badly as the father. The boys aunt was then given custody only to be taken away when it was discovered she also beat him very badly. The next step found the boy in the custody of his Grandparents, which turned out to be the worst scenario of all because they beat him worse than anybody. In an unprecedented ruling the judge decided to let the boy decide for himself who was most suited to take care of him. The boy decided he would like to be adopted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, because they were incapable of beating anybody.
