ALL RIGHT. I was out with Noreen and Salmah earlier this evening, and we were in Noreen's car. We were basically mall-hopping and were in between malls and about to go to the gas station to get gas. We were only about 500 metres away from the gas station, but unfortunately, we couldn't get there soon enough...Noreen's car died right in the middle of traffic. HOTDAMN. I can't say that I've ever been in a situation like that before. Thankfully we got in touch with one of our friends who lives close to where we were stranded, so she could come by and bring us some gas. We sat there, in the car, in the middle of traffic for maybe 10 minutes before deciding to move it off to the side of the road...Salmah and Noreen gave the car a little push while I steered it. (Thanks, Nong, I really didn't want to do any pushing haha!) So then we had to wait another 30 minutes or so before our friend finally arrived with the petrol.
You know, it really would have helped if Noreen's car had a gas light, like most cars do...but it doesn't, so we couldn't properly gauge just how deep in shit we were. And I'm glad it wasn't too bad of an experience...I would have freaked if I'd been by myself, I think.
So at least now I know that my paranoia about the car dying whenever my gas light comes on isn't unwarranted.
but mine is tricky - it goes on and off and the needle goes up and down. when the light comes on for the third time, i know its time to refill.
too bad it cant work normally. heh.
take care.
where art thou?
speak!
