this has been an up-and-down sort of week so far. definitely not as many 'downs' as last week, which i am grateful for, but it's still kind of 'on-the-go' in a lot of ways. work has been canceled since tuesday; i do have work again on monday, but it'll be hit & miss after that. i'm fixing up my resume & am going to get some more out there tomorrow. mike & i were supposed to go look at a car today, but it looks like there will be a bit of a delay as they haven't finished the safety checks. i'd rather just take the one we've seen, as it's a nice car and in great condition, but mike is so freaking picky and he wants to drive almost an hour to go see this other one (even though it's the same model). we've seen enough cars, i think, but there's not much else i can do about it. i really want to get out and do something, but i'm not sure what it'd be. we've been taking my car all over the place, and i don't like putting so many miles on it all at once, but i feel like taking a drive anyway. i'd at least like us to have some sort of destination; i'm hoping the car will be ready tomorrow so i can get it out of my system. unfortunately, i don't have anything terribly interesting to write about (even less so than usual, if you can believe it). i didn't get a whole lot of sleep, so i'm debating whether i should take a nap or do something more productive. the nap will probably win. a quick p.s: for any of you readers that might be in hurricane ike's projected path, please be safe! _____ thurs, 11 sept 08 14h58CDT
