Middle of Harry Potter Day

Feeling: abnormal
Here I sit, in the middle of the student lounge, mere feet away from the excitement of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I'm dressed up like Draco Malfoy - Hermione's sitting next to me munching on a cookie and studying (staying in character even when she doesn't realize it), and we're getting along like we're best friends (which we are, but the kids don't know that). Luckily, the kids are involved with the movie, so they don't see us "out of character." This is great. The day is going well. Given, I'm tired as Hell, and it's just one thing after another - bam bam bam! I'm just happy that they're finally watching the movie and we get a break. I'm having a good day. I feel like I'm going to hurl, like it's nerves or whatever, but that could be the two Mountain Dew Amps that I've had in the last two hours. My hands are all shaky - it's great. Melissa (Hermione) has had three already - and she's just ploughing away on those books. I've done studying for Developmental Psych - I can't take it anymore. Who wants to see Malfoy studying anyway? At least Hermione's been able to cover it up because, well, that's really all Hermione does. I got my book yesterday, Order of the Phoenix. Funny shit. It's great! I'm already 300+ pages into it, and I got it yesterday afternoon. I haven't really wanted to get out of bed anyway. I just konked out last night, too. After an early day, spending two hours in MyAnza, studying, and planning with Melissa, I just sort of passed out in bed after reaching chapter ... what chapter am I on again? I didn't really feel like moving. I woke up early again this morning, because I had to be at the school early. Hence, the need for these Amps - which Melissa has so generously provided the proceeds for. Emily freaked out when I showed her my pendulum, though. So ... after watching the first movie and serving cookies and food, we set out to playing a bunch of games. Hermione headed out Harry Potter Bingo, and I did "Pin the Scar on Harry" - an equivalent to that Donkey game. Hermione and I have been playfully bickering to each other all day. It's great. The kids are loving it. I won't call her a mudblood, though. We decided against it. I just call her a "filthy muggle" - because, you know, there are children present. I made an attack on her hair, she conterattacked with making a comment on mine. "I think the bleach soaked through to your brain, Malfoy." Everything is carefully planned and scripted ... well ... with a little ad-libbing now and then. One kid pinned the scar on Harry's nose, and it was quick, but I just said "Oh, look, Potter's got lightning bolt shaped bogies." The kids went wild. It's kind of fun being evil, sarcastic, and apathetic. I could get used to this. We give out Bertie Botts' Every Flavor Beans as prizes - along with wands, toys, candy, coloring books. It's great. I love this. I wonder if I can do this again next time J.K. Rowling releases a book. I haven't had this much fun for a while. I like it. Damn, Hermione's hair is poofy. Anyway. Just thought I'd give a quick update before sliding back into taunting Hermione. Hope everyone's having a good day. I'll be back after class tonight to let you know how the big test went. Take care and blessed be!
