Well, I'm home from vaca. We went camping in Alpena for 3 days. Supposed to be 4 but the parents decided to come home early...mostly I think it was my dad, he was bored. Whatever. It was pretty fun I thought. The campground had a beach and a water trampoline with a slide...that was fun. It was like Kneff Lake, gets deep right away, so we didn't have to swim far to get to the trampoline, but the water was like 20 feet deep so we could dive. Megan and I had fun on that; I made a new friend lol. Her name was Natalie and she was like 6. She asked me to be her friend and the friend of her brothers and cousin. The brothers, Tommy and Nate, were 12 and her cousin, Dave, was 20. Cute too lol. Anyway, we went swimming every day, and went kayaking and into town. They had a sort of street party one night, but it was nothing cool, just food and beer. We went to the movies one night, Mom and Megan saw Bewitched, Dad saw the Fantastic 4, and I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - which is SO good! I love Johnny Depp, he's such a great actor. Dad and I got out earlier than Mom and Megan, their movie started at 7:30 vs. 7:00, so we walked around for awhile. It was ok, Dad and I don't really have a lot in common to talk about. He did tell me he almost freaked out in the theater because he couldn't find me....before he remembered I went to the other movie, lol. Not much else to tell, we just hung out at the campsite for a long time, just reading or playing with the dog, donig nothing at all other than relaxing. That's what my mom likes best, not having to answer the phone, type things for Dad, etc...just what she likes to do - read. But we came home and unpacked and I drove Dad into town to get his truck from Kenny's, there was something wrong with it and he got it fixed over vaca. I got my Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince today!! Finished it in 5 hours too. I'm not going to say anything about it, since people haven't read it, but oh my god is it good. Sad too, but they have been for awhile. A lot of things I thought would happen did, which surprised me, normally I'm bad at predicting things. Can't wait for the 7th one, I hope it's not the last, I want to know what happens with the rest of his life too, not just end it when he ends Hogwarts. That's all I suppose. I'm home Monday and Tuesday, and not working either day! Wednesday morning we leave for Mackinac Island until Saturday...that should be fun. Mom and Dad have their builder's meetings up there every other year, so we all go and Meg and I wander around all day and then meet up with them at night for dinner and stuff. We stay in the Grand, so that's cool...gotta find dressy clothes, I put them all away for summer. I hope I get to see Danielle, I haven't since graduation. She drives the taxi up there in the summer, we hung out the last time I was there. Well, I'm going to bed, I have cross-country practice tomorrow at the track...will I go, not sure yet. Depends on when I actually go to bed. We have to be there at 7:30...which is too early for me, I may wait till regular practice starts and Hoffer makes it later than Cat. She may like to get up at 6:00 to run, but I prefer to run at night, when I'm already awake and have energy. Whatever. Hey Rachel, give me a call, we need to do something soon! I haven't seen you in forever.
