[This is a poem I wrote for da lovely Miss Kelly.] There once was a little kitty. So wild was that itty-bitty kitty. The little one would wander from Wood to wood, field to field. One day while frolicking, kitty stumbled upon a a beautiful flower. Kitty was so excited and oh so thrilled! That little button nose went to sniff The beautiful growth from the ground. And the itty-bitty kitty asked, "You're so pretty, may I call you Lily?" With some help from the wind, the Flower nodded, and said "Why sure, Silly!" But it was five in the day, And it was time to go home, So kitty waved goodbye, and said "I'll be back tomorrow to play!" As kitty trotted away, there was much Thinking, for a thinker was That ol' conniving flower! And the beauty thought to itself, "Now tomorrow, approximately this hour..." Well tomorrow came, and so did the Itty bitty smiling little kitty! From ear to ear, that mouth did stretch. And then finally reaching the flower, Kitty pounced for the ground to catch. The little one greeted Lily, But Lily appeared to be in pain. "Oh, what's wrong my sweet Lily?!" And she responded, "I'm in pain, cute little Silly." The saddened pawed one said, "What's wrong, have you not been fed?" "Oh no, that's not the problem, But something's feeding on me!" "Then I can help, I'll swipe it off!" "No it's too late, it's had too much, and I'm afraid my arm is now dead! I'm afraid you'll have to Bite the pest off!" So kitty bit a chunk out of Lily's arm. "Ah, that's much better, and you Really did me no harm!" Said the evil little Lily. And it wasn't long, until Kitty Induced vomiting-gagging and choking, And in the body some pain was poking. It was really, just really, such a pity. And finally Kitty realized what had happened. Kitty cried, "Why, oh why?!" at the flower.
