Leaving the Kingdom

Listening to: Echo- Trapt
Feeling: exhausted
What’s the matter little king? Have you realized the change yet Kiss my face Twirl a strand of silk brown locks Preceding the statement that no one cares Give unto the world Yet gain nothing back Twas this feeling we both know Yet quiety I whispered But you have me. Remember that now as you spit in their faces Laugh at their misfortunes Straight back on your high horse Riding away into the sunset, laughing at the world And I, I am your lowly servant now Woe is the day I loved you My weary heart can’t take much more from this changed man Commending me to be everything you want me to be Down on my knees, swallowing my own pride Will this make you happy? Good sir, will you be you again soon? Looking down at me in discust as I throw myself at your feet One last attempt at inner sanctuary “I loved you once” you state Bless the day you cared for others as yourself A man like you isn’t fit to be king of my heart they say But mercy, they don’t understand A million and a half hours ago we had eachother I touched a quivering face and gained your respect Do you recall the day you called me beautiful? My eyes sting with vile tears Why have the heavens bestowed this horrible conflict opon me? “I love you now, from one person to a shell, one heart to a stone One last thing, one tear of remorse is all I’ll need to see” Just as I turned away a couragious tear fell to the ground beside you “There’s room in this kingdom for a queen”
