what it is to burn

Listening to: a new vintage
Feeling: masochistic
So lets see. How much did yesterday after and last night kick ass? Ummm, a whole helluva lot. March has definatly started off with a big bang and for the next two months, there's hopefully going to be a lot more to come. So my doctor's appointment was shit. He had no idea what he was talking about or why I'd even gone to the doctor and needed a medicine change. He's like "Ok, you don't have ADD, you just need more sleep" I wanted to strangle him and be like "Hello, clinically diagnosed by the asshole psychologist they sent me to over the summer!" I almost cried and walked out again. I hate doctor's appointments. Luckily, it ended pretty fast and the llama let me get Wendy's so I cheered up. Kelly came over around 2:00 and we watched Party Monster and half of Without a Paddle. Seeing as I'm Dani though and the most forget and scatter-brained person on the planet, I forgot we had to go so it was a mad dash to get everything together and get out the door. It was well worth it to see Party Monster again though. "Rats on CRACKATTACK!" Oh man, I love Macauly Caulken. ♥ We almost didn't make the show because we tried to go in the front door instead of the side door. However, it all worked out and we got in. Wow. I was completely nervous, shaking in my space boots at first, but once we got inside and things started happening, I calmed down right away. We got attacked with hugs from Celeste right off the bat and introductions to her new guy friend. Then I got rescued from an almost near death experiance falling into the pit before I realized it's apparently not all that dangerous. Again, silly Dani. Lots of fun people played. The highlights were A New Vintage, Robot Goes Here, and Someday Never. I missed seeing So I'm Square which made me really really sad. Aw well. Maybe next time. I forgot to wear my scarf anyway so it wouldn't have been half as good. Robot Goes Here was great. He sung to techno music coming from his laptop. It was a one man band and the spiffiest thing. I wanna be a one woman band, man! Heh. I could do it, I swear! Really though, I saw so many people there that I didn't expect to see. I don't know if I'll list everyone because maybe that would affend some of the people I was suprised would be there. Hell, they were probably more surprised I was there though. I was happy though because Theresa was there and I haven't seen her in person since I was like six and after Dude, She's 12 Dan-in-drag showed up! Funny thing was, he wasn't in a corsette so it was totally trippy. So for the second half of the night, Kelly and I hung out with him and she tried to sneak snap pictures of random hot emo boys. Wow. There were quite a few of those. There's a few personal favorites I want pictures of. ♥ We're such weird kids but I love it. =) After awhile, Dan-in-drag made us get up from where we were sitting and pushed us into the pit. Wow, that was embarassing. I think I looked like a complete idiot, but atleast now I know it isn't actually that dangerous in there, haha. It was actually kinda fun in a weird way. We lost our moshing virginity! Woo! So then it ended and everyone had to wait around outside because they closed the doors and it was freezing! Eep! So after a slightly awkward run-in with Kim, the bassist from Someday Never asked us to watch his guitars for him, so we did and when he came back, we had a lovely little conversation with him and Kelly bought a CD. I felt so incredibly cool even if the average kid wouldn't think it was anything that spectacular. As the great Charlie says "I felt infinate" in more then one way. Wow. There were so many fun times. So yeah, the rest of the people, the experiances, the whole shabang is kinda personal so I'll leave it at that. It was definatly a great night though and much-needed seeing as I've had a pretty sucky past two weeks. The next weekend should be cool as well seeing as Friday is Kyle's party and Saturday Steph, Rach, and I are going to try to go to another show! Woot! During this week, hopefully I'll get to be spending a lot of time with Andrew while he's up here from North Dakota. The week after that, hopefully I'll be visiting Sarah for a couple days if at all possable. Yay for Long Island! Then come April, they'll be a Kill Bill Marathon, Sin City coming to theaters, and of course, what we've all been waiting for: Greenday and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE in concert!!!! Then after that, Kelly and I are going on a James hunt! Wow, how many kids can say they have a line up like that going for them? If I wasn't so thrilled about last night, I'd say the best is yet to come. ♥
