Feeling: calm
Friday, 6:45 p.m.   Tanning Last night I slept over at Aubu's house. I told my parents I'd be back at noon, and then I'd go get chelsea at 1:15 and we'd go to the movie. Blah blah blah. I wasn't really looking forward to it. Then I went to Aubrey's where they were watching Muppet Treasure Island. Of course they were. It's our official end-of-school-year movie. Heh. And I was like "What I -really- want to see is Edward Scissorhands because it's got Johnny Depp and it's a Tim Burton movie!" And Misty said she had it at home and I was like "Misty! Let's go get it!" I don't think she really believed that we were just gonna walk out of Muppet Treasure Island to get Edward Scissorhands, but I said, "Misty, come on, we've seen this movie so many times we've got it memorized. Let's take a few minutes out and get the movie from your house." So we did. We didnt' even put our shoes on. I drove barefoot; it was weird. We walked in, got the movie, got back in, and went back to Aubrey's. On the way, however, at a corner we saw this yellow "Penske" truck. There was an old ugly guy in the passenger seat and a really attractive black man driving. Not realizing my window was down, I told Misty, "Man...That guy is -hott-!" and then the driver looked at me and did that flirtatious nod thing. It was so funny! and flattering too, although I bet he didn't think I was cute since my hair was all over the place and stuff. Anyway, it was the highlight of my evening. The highlight of my day, of course, being Scott as always...*swoon* Shut up. :D When we got back to Aubrey's, we ate pizza and finished watching Muppets and then popped in Scissorhands. It was awesome. That movie is the best. I love it. Johnny Depp at age 24...sigh....I don't know. Some people say you can't even tell it's Johnny Depp but I'd know those cheekbones in any movie. Aahh.. It was really sad though. I almost cried. And I wished Scott was there. I always wish Scott was there. It's a good thing he wasn't else I might have been tempted to not pay attention to the whole movie. The best part was how Tim Burtonesque it was. I love his movies. He is my hero. There is no other director/producer who has such a distinctive quality to all his movies. But enough about movies. It was late when Scissorhands got over, so we went to bed soon after. I woke up at 6:30 ish and decided it was too early, I was going to wake up at 8. So I did...got dressed, went home, showered, talked to Katherine on the net about visiting Scott and Craig at school. I didn't even think to call my mom and ask her if it was okay to hang out with Katherine. I know she would have said yes as long as I got to Chelsea by 1:15. Unfortunately, however, I'm stupid and didn't think to. So 10:45 rolled around and I went and picked up Katherine early. We went to walmart and I got a Jones and bags of hershey's kisses for the movies later. Then we went to LHS and tried to find the Science hall and then the bell rang to signify the end of 3rd hour. Bleeh. We did, eventually, find the science hall, but by that time fourth hour had already filed in and Scott was nowhere to be seen. So we went back outside and Scott came down the steps and took us to the lunchroom and found Adam and Craig and Mike. Mike kept looking at me. Mike always looks at me. It's strange...and makes me sad....it's like he has a crush on me. But he knows I'm dating Scott, how could he not know, I've told him. Surely there are other, more single, women out there that he could attach his affections to. I mean, what's so good about me? Or maybe I'm just flattering myself and he really doesn't like me at all and just likes to stare at people. Anyway. Craig, Katherine, Scott, and I wandered around the halls a bit, and ran into this group of boys. A short ugly boy who goes to my school was hanging out with them. It was like, brigade of the ugly yet popular jocks. People I didn't recognize kept coming up to me and asking if I knew Jimmy E. I was standing right there, with Scott's arm around my waist. Please, boys. That was the -seventh grade-. Three years later, oh yes, I'm still madly in love with an obnoxious football player who has a carpet growing under his chin SINCE, after all, this boy with his arm around my waist is some complete stranger. Uh huh. Right. Losers. Unlike them, I've moved on. I was like, "No. I don't know Jimmy." Katherine said, "Liar," and I wanted her to shut up but how could she have known? I forgive her. Unfortunately, the other boys told me I was a liar too and I just walked away. They practically followed me and as I went down the stairs they were like, "DO YOU KNOW JIMMY?!" I rolled my eyes and walked faster, dragging poor Scott along with me. We found Adam and hung out in a corner because the bell had rung a few times thus they were kind of sluffing seminary class. Oo... So we wandered around the campus. Their campus is so pretty. We sort of picked on poor Scott though. :s asking him math questions and all... Then it was time for me to take katherine home and pick up my sister. I dropped Katherine off and went to the university and got my mother and she did NOT look happy. Oops. She was on the phone with daddy. And they left the Harry Potter tickets at home, so they'd called and told Lisa to find them and tape them to the door, and call them at 12:30. I wasn't there to get the note though, so I didn't call at 12:30, so they called around and found out that I'd left Aubrey's house at 8 that morning. Um. Not good. I was in trouble. Because now my parents were worried and they didn't know where I was and I felt -so- horrible for it. I really did! I told them I had been with Katherine Veeder and they were still mad but I think mostly they were relieved...so I'm grounded for a few days. And it sucks. I bought a ticket to the show tomorrow, the Battle of the Bands at Logan High where Chucks and Swill are playing. Anyone want a ticket?... *sigh* And now this weekend I can't go visit Scott and hang out with him and watch The Day After Tomorrow and Monday I get my wisdom teeth out. I don't ... I don't know. I'm sad. On the bright side, I guess, the Harry Potter movie wasn't that bad...*shrug* And also on the bright side, I'm not grounded for a LONG time...too bad I have to start work like as soon as I'm recovered enough from my tooth extraction surgery that I can walk and stuff. oh man. Daddy says, though, that I'll only work part time so I can still take my sister to the pool and hang out with my friends... At least he understands how much it means to me that I see my friends as much as possible before I move to New Zealand and can't see them for a year. Maybe next weekend I'll have a party like a barbecue and everyone can come and stuff. I'll talk to daddy. I'm pretty sure he'll be okay with it, and help me plan it and stuff..
