Feeling: groovy
Monday, 4:19 p.m.   Finally I went to Vacation Bible School to help out in the preschool room. I got there a little late...maybe I should get there at 9 tomorrow... Anyway, there were about a bajillion people there. Adults, middle schoolers, and preschoolers alike. I can take preschoolers better than I can take middle schoolers. For some reason the kids in 6-8th grade at my church totally and completely suck. I love Katherine!!!! And that's...about it. I know I was stupid when I was a middle schooler but I don't remember being so pretentious and snobby! Anyway, there were a lot of middle school kids, like one to two preschoolers and there were like 34 preschoolers. Coupled with approximately 17 middle schoolers plus however many adults makes for one crowded room. I went to talk to the head leader and she looked at me really blankly and I decided this was definately not as organized as last year and I was going to hate working here. She told me to "um...Go to the crafts room with Monica.." and help set up there. I hung up a poster. She had already gotten all the bags o stuff out. Well at least she had it under control there unlike in the other room. Hmm. So we went back in the regular preschool room and everyone was going to the kitchen for snack time, so we were kinda just standing in the empty preschool room. Then the head of the entire operation came in and asked if there was a spare helper who could help poor Cyndi in the nursery where there were four toddlers and only Cyndi. So I pointed at myself and Hung out in there with four good little one to two-year olds who were fussy sometimes but okay otherwise. Anyway. It was boring but definately not stressful. Yay for me. I work to make sure I never have kids of my own. I'm too old now, I think, to be an effective helper for the preschoolers. They look up more to people who are closer to their own height. Strange but true. Anyway. Over protective parents really really bug me. Like, oh my god, the food fell on the floor there for a second! 10 second rule people! It's good for the immune system! I got a light case of pneumonia once for a week when I was in first grade, I have never had the flue, I get the cold now and again, and I have allergies, but I've never had a serious illness. Ever. Oh well, I was lucky to have parents like mine. Yay I love them. Even though they are poopy heads and won't let me go to anyone's house unless they call and make sure that their parents know people are going over. I guess I can see why, they wouldn't want me to have people come over without them knowing it. But still...the 16 year old in me just really wants to go to Scott's house and hang with Scott and Adam and Mike and Craig. poooo. After VBS, so like around noon, I went to Kajsa's house and we went to Einstein's for a sandwhich and jamba's for a smoothie and drank and ate outside and it was really good. It was way way good. We talked about everything we can't talk about in front of other people. Sex, drugs, politics, God, etc. It was really nice. I got home at 1:45, fed the kitties and cleaned their litter, then hung around until 2:30 when my daddy came home to take me to the oral surgeon guy to make sure my mouth was doing okay. Then we went to get Gas and beer. Heh. But at least I got gas. yay for me. Now here I am. yay. In an hour, I guess, Scott will call me when his mom is home and my mom can talk and make sure it's okay with his mom. Yay. ----------------- 11:09 p.m. Just kidding. Mom let me go...I had previously neglected to tell her Katherine would be going. I told her and then she let us go. Yay for us. We went to Scott's house and watched them play stupid Halo. then we played two rounds of mariokart, I kicked trash first time and got first by a smidgeon second time. We got snow cones too. Hmmm. And watched The Day After Tomorrow. I missed the ending though. Went to church for a half hour and discussed my baptism. Then I puppy dogged my daddy into letting me go back to scott's instead of going straight home. We watched Gothika. Katherine missed the ending to that one, poor girl. We had to leave. I've seen it before. I guess it was okay Katherine wasn't there because Craig had already left, and it would have been better if Craig had been there. It was nice, though. Except that Adam and Mike were there and being jealous poo heads. there's not much room in the big arm chair. I wish we could have had the loveseat but I don't know. *shrug* It's trivial. So that's my day. Lovely.
