Same old shit, just another day

Leaving heavens door, I see arriving the infinite white bus with vibrant Christmas tree lights beaming around like an outside disco as it unloads yet another helpless victim for God’s angels to rush out and work on the freshly wounded soul; indeed, it’s another grim night and the starting of another long walk through the streets of 'Liberty' City! Dark as hell with the sky on fire. Silence fleetingly lingers through my ears, but it's only a few blocks 'till 34th street - that's where the party really gets rolling! Not long before the fumes of decaying 34th glide their way into my senses; nausea erupts within and the dieing air eats away at my flesh as I commence through the herd of whores scrounging around for no good arse's who're desperate for a good time; hobo’s loitering around their beaten up trash cans – alcohol toasting on an open fire! To them it’s Christmas, but arisen daylight tells them otherwise. Looking around at the shadows of this lost block embarking on all that they wish they were worth, one shouldn’t lose sight of the true depths of hell. It wouldn’t take more than a blink of the eye to feel death come into me and out again much like passionate lovemaking during the night, the only exception being – where is the joy for me! Over the horizon and the sun shimmer’s a glimpse of hope for another day on this once picturesque city. The shadows return into where they crawled out from and I can breathe to enjoy my last few strides to 118 on 26th street; also known as my beloved home. I enter through the black waist high gate, lawn dead as the city, pathway as fractured as the roads and the house overlooking this city which never sleeps. I breathe a sigh of relief – safely home once again, door opens, keys thrown on the stand, bag tossed to the floor; All I want is my bed, but barely do I reach the stairs for I have a meeting with God’s angels… the blood gushes like an overflowing hydrant and in impaired vision… I see the cold blooded lover sprint away.
