Listening to: Inviting the Silence!
Feeling: pissedoff
"All endings are the beginnings of neverending stories."
"There can be no happy endings, because nothing ends."
"Can you truly choose an end for yourself? Would it not be better to choose a beginning?"
These are some of the quotes I found about death...the first one is from the Neverending Story, the second from The Last Unicorn, and the last from Hero. It got me thinking. One of my close friends (i will not disclose her name, because it has been rather traumatic) has had a family member pass recently. Everyone near her has given her some kind of consoling, but it seems weak to me. We cannot comprehend what death is; we're mere mortals. And, when we finally understand what happens in death, we're unfortunately unable to relay the message because we're sort of dead. It tends to create some existence barriers.
Now, I ask of you, friends, the question that many ask but refuse to answer. What do you believe happens after death? Do we go to another plane? If so, are we sent to heaven or hell? Are we reincarnated? Are we sent to a "waiting room" whilst we await our reincarnation? Do we simply cease to be, ending all senses and all existence? Debate.
