Listening to: Wyclef Jean- gone til November
They lay in the grass
Facing one another
Five feet of distance fill the two
She says, Come closer
He says, No you
Both immobile
Both lazy
Yet, both hopeful of the other
One day following through
...inspired by a dream..

The highlights of my weekend were found in times when i was just chilling with a few friends. All the downpoints were when I was at chaotic parties. I'm going through this phase where I really don't like the whole drunk/party thing. I just don't like it recently. Everytime I'm at one, i find myself thinking that I'd have funner if I was doing something else like just chilling at Carbiou or something lol. Maybe it's just a phase, maybe I just haven't had a good party lately, I dont know.

One of the residents at work, Russel, came up to me and asked me if I was Protestant or Catholic. I told him I was only Christian, not sure of anything else. He must of sensed that i was confused with religion. I don't know why else he would of came up to me and asked such a random question. He told me to read a chapter of the Bible each day. He claims i'll get closer to Him each day I read it. He pointed out a natural law of living- that when you show interest, they show interest. I think I'm going to follow up on that. I needed some kind of guidance with my beliefs. True, i never thought it would be a stranger at work but maybe that's what makes a higher power so believable because crazy things like this do happen.
I never thought I'd gain so much insight from working as a dietary aid at an old folk's home. But each day I go in there, I start to see the residents as more than just a old person withering away. They each have such a history and so much words of value to say.
I cry sometimes when I work there. You start to gain relationships with these people, and one day you come in and there is a new person replacing their seat at dinner. I'm trying to keep in mind that alot of them are really old and really sick, so I feel priveleged to spend the last of their time with them. I'm trying to get to know as many of them as I can.

Two movies I'd recomend:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Virgin Suicides
The Babysitter's Club {most amazing}

My Pentax is becoming a new limb. I'm goin to try to bring it to school one day and document a day in the life of a Baldwin student. Just one of my many ideas that may or may not follow through. We'll see.
