Listening to: Saves the day- This is not an exit
'And you walk across the stage
Take a bow
Hear the applause
And as the curtain falls
Just know you did it all
The best that you knew how
And you can hear them cheering now
So let a smile out
And show your teeth
Cause you know you lived it well.'

I won't be seeing the Senior class in the molding walls of our High School anymore. It's going to be so different. Without them, the halls are going to seem so empty and lonely. I was smacked hard today by the big realization that good things (like this year) don't last forever. Sorry for the lame cliche, but sometimes cliches say it better than anything. After signing a bunch of yearbooks and giving out a bunch of hugs, I found myself pathetically in tears by the end of the day on the school bus. I started to miss them already when that last bell rang. It pretty much sucks. Like really, really bad.
... but what doesnt suck is knowing that I feel grateful just to of gotten the chance to meet these amazing people this year. Seriously, they are some of the most amazing, interesting, and inspiring people I've ever met. What's even better is that I've still got all summer to enjoy with them before they run off to college. Oh yeah, its gonna be a good few months to come. Plus, I've got Prom this Friday to look forward to! =) I'm really excited for that.
So I'll save the really sentimental stuff for the end of the summer. Hopefully, summer lasts forever and ever though. My Utopia..

Other things that went on today: I got awarded the Gold Star in English for being a good bullshitter and I got asked on a date, middleschool-note style.
Summer will definitely be chill, though.
Random, I know. See ya.

the senior class at my school left last year, and it is extremely strange, with my year being the senior year now. i guess it'd be really sad when its my turn to leave, id be real glad to leave the cliched life of high school, but then it'd be the whole real world thing, and that's pretty creepy.
High School gives away such wierd feelings.
