babysitting

Dear Diary, I spent seven hours babysitting three kids today. I love my nieces and nephew, but it was a very long day. It actually wasn't too bad, until Ashlyn decided to throw a huge tantrum. Sigh. At least she fell asleep after that! But for babysitting all day, I actually got a lot accomplished. Sorta. I took advantage of this way-too-hot weather and sat outside and tanned a little bit. My goal this summer is to get a tan. Not to turn brown and get skin cancer, just to be able to darken a bit. I don't like being so incredibly pale. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GARRICK! I love that boy. Let's see... I went to the library. I think I got... maybe one or two good books. Unfortunately, that's ALSO where Ashlyn had her fit. Gr. After I got done babysitting, I took my money and went shopping! I bought the CUTEST pair of capris! They were $17, which is more than I like to spend, but they fit great and were so perfect and I just had to get them. I really need to update my summer wardrobe. Because, oh, that's right, I don't HAVE a summer wardrobe! Then I went to Border's (I love that store!) and bought a book I've been really wanting to get. It's part of a retold fairy tales series. I've got six out of nine of the books now! Yes! Out of all the money I got babysitting today, I only have $7.85 left. Ha! Oh. I DIDN'T go to the assembly. Cassie didn't want to go so... Hmm... I hate feeling Stupid. I feel so ugly and lame and loser-ish... Stupid. Okay, I'm going to go read my new book now! Yay! Love, Lisa Ann P.S. Even though kids can be way difficult sometimes, I'm so excited to have them. I want a family of my own so badly. It's kinda strange how eager I am to be a mother. I mean, of course I'm not ready quite yet (I'm hoping to develop a LOT more patience before I have kids!) but... I will be so happy when I'm finally ready and married! I love kids. They're so sweet and small and loving. I love cuddling with them, taking care of them, running errands with them, rocking them to sleep, giving them kisses and hugs, everything! I wish I were grown up already. But I'm only sixteen! I have FOREVER! Sigh. Someday! ...did I mention I love kids?
