driving

Dear Diary, I am currently driving through Nevada and writing this on my mom's laptop. No internet connection, of course, but hopefully when we get to the hotel in Winnemucca, NV I'll be able to post it. So I got back from girl's camp today, and it was way fun. I was terrified to go. In fact, three a.m. the morning I was to leave found me crying on my mom's bed. Yeah, I was that scared. Worried that I wouldn't have fun, worried that no one would be nice to me, and missing my old ward. But my dad gave me a Priesthood blessing, and while I didn't feel 100%, I decided to put my faith in God and hope for the best. I'm glad I did. I had so, so much fun. I got to know every single girl a whole lot better. It'd take forever to tell everything that happened there (it took me from Logan to Brigham to tell my mom), but my favorite part was testimony meeting. It was wonderful. And surprising. McKenna Hunt is in my ward, but she's pretty much inactive. She came for the day though, and was SO sweet to me. I told her about my old ward and she said that she hoped I could find the same closeness in this ward, and that if I ever needed to talk, I could talk to her. It was very nice of her, especially since we hardly know each other. Anyway. I just loved getting to know everyone, playing games, and being a Youth Camp Leader. It was amazing. I especially loved getting closer to Shayna Balls, Kelli and Heather Ricks, Vivian Amundson, and Megan Dixon. They are super sweet girls. Can you believe it? I'M actually saying GOOD things about my ward! lol. I'm so glad I didn't chicken out. In other news. We left for California today (obivously) around 8:00 p.m. It was late. We probably won't get to our hotel until 2 or 3 a.m, and it's 10:00 p.m. now. Ah well. We're having a good trip so far. My dad and mom brought their bikes, and my dad keeps checking every ten minutes that they're still there. lol. He's a crazy guy. Hmm... Working on a bright laptop in a dark car gives me a headache.... Guess what! Bill and Loren stopped by to chat today. We had talked about them maybe coming over, but I wasn't sure when I would be un-busy. They picked a pretty good time, though, and we were able to talk for a little bit. That was nice. Then my sisters started yelling at me to get packed, so they had to leave. lol. Oh dear. My dad is listening to talk radio. Can I say that there is nothing I hate more than talk radio? Boring! Anyway. I think I'm going to try to call Cassie or maybe just sleep or something. More later! Love, Lisa Ann
