New York: part one

Dear Diary, Ah I love traveling! Okay, well the flight delays, hours of sitting with nothing to do, running around with heavy suitcases, that part sucks. But I love everything else!!! The flight was pretty good. I love looking out the window down on the world! We got in to JFK at midnight, then found out my sister was lost in the Bronx, so we didn't leave the airport until one a.m. New Jersey is so pretty! Humid and hot, but pretty. So, if you ever unconvinced that this is a small world, let me tell you what happened! We went to my sister's ward today, and were sitting in sacrament, when in walked in... old neighbors of ours we hadn't seen in seven years! They moved away, we moved around, they moved again, and we just lost touch. So most of today was spent catching up with them--they came to our house for dinner. I didn't really remember the kids that well, but it was fun talking to them. Church in NJ was so cool! All different ethnicities (sp?!?), which you don't get in UT. And the testimonies were amazing. Some of the kids seem really cool... Mmm... and there was a very cute boy... lol Let's see... oh, the Broadbents house is even more amazing then I remembered. Their backyard is gorgeous! I love just sitting out there, relaxing, looking at the forest and everything. Tonight my brother was supposed to fly in. He had to work yesterday, which is why he didn't come with us. But we drove to JFK and found out one of his flights had been delayed and he missed his connecting flight. So he's staying in a hotel in D.C. tonight! Then he'll fly to JFK tomorrow and we'll pick him up again. lol. This vacation is officialy my Don't Worry About Boys Vacation. I'm doing pretty well, too! Last night falling asleep, I hardly thought about boy worries at all. Of course, that may be due to the feather bed I'm sleeping on. Ahhh! Luxury! I am happy. But I miss my friends! I was able to talk to Jeremy and Jeddi a little bit today, which was good. But I miss everyone! Sadness! Morgan, you should email me!!! Tomorrow we go into Manhatten (actually go in, not just drive past). Exciting! We're going to sightsee, of course, and tomorrow night I'm seeing Hairspray on Broadway! SO thrilled. Love, Lisa Ann
