Leaving Tomorrow

Feeling: exhausted
The weekend was extremely long, but I'm still happy. Tomorrow Dad is picking me up after my single morning class and I'll be my way home finally. It's been over a month and I just need to go home for a while. I miss my girl so much and right now I could spend a whole day just playing with her, even suffering from her mothering attitudes, (that always leaves one feeling sticky from dog drool). I did fairly well at OSB. I'm not too thrilled with how the standard part is progressing, but then again Paul and I didn't get to practice really all this last week. Brian and I kicked butt in Samba, which is funny cause we only had 3 days of practice in it. We also made the second round of Jive on the Bronze level, which is the next level up. That was nice. I was afraid we were going to get called back again but the judges were merciful. I love the Jive, but when I've been dancing all day and the last Jive was over 2 minutes long, I really just wanted to go back to my hotel room and sleep. We just fell short of East Coast Swing finals, but that's fine cause we had only practice the night before after the competition was over and most of the team at OSB was watching the professionals upstairs. That is a show to watch. I went with some teammates to watch on Friday night and the standard just blew my mind. Quickstep was all hopping and running, something we're not allowed to even attempt yet. Waltz is always an amazing dance and the professionals proved it. 6th place in Samba, call back for Bronze Jive, and semi-finals for East Coast Swing. I'd say I did fairly well. Yes there is a lot I want to improve on during this next semester, but I can only go as far as my time and partners permit. Tonight we may learn Vienesse Waltz. That is probably going to be my favorite waltz style. I hope we do get to learn it. I don't need a review session after this weekend. I want to learn something fun. That will just add to my eagerness to go home. Hope everyone else's weekend went okay. I'm sure plenty of my Purdue classmates were at the Deer Stations this weekend. Hunting, I just don't get why it's so entertaining, but that's just me. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves this weekend and the IU fans are celebrating their victory. Purdue isn't out a bowl yet, just remember that Boilers.
