So Much Time Has Past

Feeling: tired

A lot has happened since my last post at the end of the spring semester. I am working a minimum of 40 hours a week at IB. Got a decent pay raise when they hired me so the money is rather nice when you consider they pay you weekly instead of bi-weekly. Makes the money flow easier to designate. The beach is so different and I don't know if Morgan RV reallky realizes they probably won't be able to save the park after they destroyed it 2 years ago when they bought it off the Spachman family.

Anyways, I am living in Lafayette now. Moved out of the house on July 9th in terms of signing the lease but I didn't move in until the 10th. Josh and I finally have a place for just the two of us. When staying with the other's family, we didn't get too much time for just the two of us. As it is, we work opposite shifts most of the time so we only see each other in the mornings and at night when we are both in for the night or when we get lucky and have the same day off, which doesn't happen that often. I never did understand why the medical workers had such weird hours and I still don't. I don't think I could operate a set but rotating work schedule. That is one thing I am looking forward to when school starts up and I go back to Windsor for another year, or until I find a better job. I will be working Mon-Thursday nights every week. Yes I will have a pay cut and only be getting paid every 2 weeks but at least my schedule doesn't rotate like Josh's or is unknown until the weekend before the next schedule takes place. That gets annoying. Can't make plans until you know when you work, how many hours, and then you are still on call if something comes up since it's just you and 1 other full time worker at that stand. Crazy I tell you.

I haven't uploaded any photos of Molly on here but she is making her way onto my facebook account. That dog has won everyone in my life over with her big brown lab eyes and her lab face, except for her long ears thanks to her basset of a father. She is so goofy looking that it's downright adorable. If you knew Haley, just chop her legs off, change the front ones with basset shaped legs, extend and slightly curl the black tail, and add a little white patch to her chest and you get Molly. Absolutely spoiled and she knows it. Poor girl was really sick this last month and I couldn't believe what fixed her. A dog chiropactor. Crazy but it's true. She was out in the middle of her spine, both hips, and left front shoulder. She isn't too happy with the restrictions in terms of fool alotment and amount of pig ears she can have. No more climbing upstairs unless necessary and she has been forced out of the recliners she spends hours in looking out the window or sleeping. Lost her couch too. That was her napping spot at night when she wanted up off the floor and wanted to stretch out. She took up at least half of it and she isn't as long as Haley! Her memory foam bed should arrive by tomorrow. Yes I said memory foam. Dogpedic beds are the best bed for any dog out there, especially ones built like labs but also supporting long spines like hound dogs do. If you haven't met Molly you need to. The dog is just a doll. Has a bad background but from the moment we met her on the other side of the dog yard at the shelter, she has had a complete 2nd life that she absolutely loves and she is best friends with all of us plus she loves Josh and his mom and their dog Blaze. That makes it easier for when Jennifer wants to come up and the family gets together.

Long entry, I know but I just felt like it was time to put up an update. Lord knows it's been a long time and so much has happened these last 3 months. Not sure if I want to go back to school in two weeks but hopefully this will be the last year and then I will be finished with school for the rest of my life. Of course after graduating and getting hopefully a good full time job around Lafayette, I'll have more pressures put on me about "tying the knot", said so well this morning by my cousin Sherry before the funeral. Lord knows Mom wants grandchildren and both Beth and I are at the right age to start having families. I don't want to even think about that right now. Getting through school for both me and Josh and making a good start is all that matters right now. When it's time for us to move our relationship into a permanent status and start a family we will handle it when that times come, but not before.
