Fall Break How Lovely

Feeling: tired

Watching the special edition of Anderson Cooper 360. It is very serious tonight. It's about the recent suicides of young people, especially in the last month. I know suicide has gone up but I guess since I got out of high school I got away from the hell hole most kids are trapped in up to 4 years. It just seems to be getting worse every year. I don't understand why there aren't any people of power trying to really change things. Dr. Phil is one of the 2 experts on the show and he's right. The parents are too disconnected to this situation, as well as any adult tied to the school environment. It's so hard to swallow how nasty people have become, especially the youth. When did it become okay to constantly attack someone for enjoyment in school and online? Why has the youth become so vicious to one other. When it comes to adult bullying, we find ways to get away from it most of the time but for the kids, it just seems like the painful assault by others will never end. More than 5 children committed suicide last month. It's getting out of hand. Something has to be done to show that there is a light at the end of the tunnel AND that bullying is not right.
