Been A Long Time

Feeling: beat

I had forgotten how much work cleaning the barn lot is at the zoo. I have some sore biceps going on and my nerves are in super sensitive mode until they settle down. As much as it wears on you, being able to be outside for 3 hours with the animals is awesome. Of course Lucy and Cole, our miniature horses, like to be trouble makers and either mess with your trash can or they keep knocking the duster pan's handle over as you are raking. They are just a pair of jokers.

Aside from the zoo work, things have really gone well with Josh and me. We have our apartment finalized with Pheasant Run just off of 52 and 10 minutes away from Ivy Tech for him. July 9th is the big move day and we're both getting anxious for it. I will miss being at home with Molly everyday but finally moving out of my home and away from the regular problems with the family is definitely a good thing. I'll be 22 and am in a serious relationship so a place to call my own is a major accomplishment.

School winds down in another 3 weeks and I have 3 projects drawing to an end. The first one to end for me personally is Human Dimensions. We write most if not all of our research paper tonight and then we put our presentation together. Then I am done with it. I refuse to give the presentation if I have a choice since I have done a lot of the work with one other classmate. The slacker duo can give the presentation so hopefully we don't have to step in on the 29th and do it ourselves. Capstone's poster session in Jasper County is this Wednesday. Finally the light at the end of the tunnel! Habitat Management data collection is pretty much done and all John and I have to do is write up our management plan and get photos if we need them. We meet with Dr. Weeks Thursday to give him an update on our progress. Thankfully Biology has its 3rd exam on Thursday and Fire Ecology is over. Some of the heavy work load is going to be over after this week. Once the poster session in Jasper Co ends, a major time commitment will be gone and I can focus on my habitat management plan and set up the presentations for it and HD. Talk about a lot of work when we have finals in 3 weeks!
