A Space Recluse #2

After my first abduction by former suchisthisdiarian, life proceeded as normal. The UPS man still visited the house, my fish were still lying dead at the top of the aquarium, and the laundry was a hopeless pit of a mess in my Utility Room. Although I was shaken by the harsh reality of the whole affair, my womens intuition led me in other directions. At around 9:53 a.m., when all the older women would ride their bicycles past my house in a feeble attempt to bring back their youth, I noticed a strange eerieness about the place. The tick of the clock was magnified to a maximum level, and the dishes in my washing machine seemed fixated in place, as opposed to their constant clicking and semblence of the "tell-tale heart." I paused, momentarily, suspended by nothing but the gravity in my home, then continued my daily routine, casting away the shadows lingering nearby. "Where are my keys," I pondered aloud, to suddenly glimpse them in the edge of the coffee table. Curious. But nothing more then Irony, a coincidence at fate. Come to think of it, I didnt even need my keys, jsut going for a brisk walk in the early hours, before the sun shot too high and the rays tormented my skin. The walk, was briker then I had imagined, and my homecoming was nonetheless welcoming. Perturbed, I sat down to alphabet soup, unfortunately the only item left in my pantry. As a child I would spell foul words in my soup, but today I sat making larger words on my much broader vocabulary. "I tried to come home but I could not, I need more time. Meet me at 8. You know where." I'll be damned if that aint the best array of words ever placed in soup. But then, the realization hit me, and the thought of seeing him again dawned on me. Was he in trouble? Was he ok? The only thing I cared for was the fact that he needed me....

Oh KAYLA, that's WONDERFUL! You're GREAT! I'm on the edge of my seat with suspense. My hair's standing on end at the bizarre (ALEX-induced) occurences in this installment. What a clever idea to have him talk to you via the alphabet soup..EXCELLENT TOUCH! I love reading these stories about him. I REALLY DO. They're the next best thing to holding him in my arms. My poor Alex I love him so. I'm almost getting all weepy now. And he DID say Rock On!
