And if I were a can of Campbells soup...

Listening to: none
Feeling: old
Today was an alright day. Michael stayed home to watch the basketball game (MD-UTEP), so I didnt get to see him...but hey theres a dance tomorrow, so all is well. We went to see this really good assembly at QACHS today. It was about the power of one, and how one person can make a difference, and I know you all may think thats corny and such, but it was really motivating. There was this one kid named Darion, who heard about his techer's son who was only a year old and had leukemia and gave his teacher all the money he had in the bank to try and help him ($60). Just to let you know, this kid was a 225 pound 7th grader who was teasted all the time, but he still had the heart of a lion. Anyway, children from the school set up fundraising and such and earned more then enough money for the bone-marrow transplant. One person made that difference. Sad part of the story is later Darion became real sick, and because of health issues and his weight he was only fighting for three days before he passed away. I almost started bawling during that part. Sorry to bore you with that all, I suppose it was just on my mind... I miss my Michael.... Until tomorrow then, Your Nieghborhood Superman

Whoa,
At first it seemed like a story of triumph but then it just took a turn for the worse. That's truly saddening; I can see why it's on your mind and all. Personally I find it touch to sometimes come to terms with thigns like that... the kind of stuff that doesn't directly involve you but bother you. I don't know - maybe I'm just crazy... but I guess that's cool because you're crazie ;o) I'll talk to you later.
Sincerely,
I miss my George...Together we will miss.

Touching story. Great Deeds from the smallest people. It always seems to happen that way.
