last night was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! all us girls were all decked out in our formals and we had no clue what we were doin, but twila took us all the the methodist church in monroe and all the guys were there and they escorted us to our seats and all that fun stuff and we got pretty tiaras and the guys served us dinner and it was really cool... and we had quite a few other escapades, which i'll probably end up telling in a "one time i was with my youth group..." story, but i have stuff to do so i'm not gonna elaborate. all us girls are gonna wear our tiaras on the next hat day at school tho hee hee! fun stuff. anyway...... had a band competition, and practice in the morning was really bad... i mean, we all worked hard and got a whole bunch of stuff fixed and it looked good... but mrs. k pushed us so hard we all were coming up with really creative ways to kill her... which hasn't happened in a really long time... but yeah, we did an entire run-thru from entrance to leaving the field, and after that we all felt like we did good and we were exhausted and behind schedule and just wanted to go eat..... and mrs. k of course, says "okay let's do it one more time" and we all just looked at each other like...... dude, no way. so yeah, we all wanted to kill her. but after that the day got better, we ended up doing pretty decent at the competion. we got 3rd in our division, but only because we were in the division above ours... i think because they didn't have enough bands in it... so they bumped us up. anyway... if we'd been in our normal division we would have swept it... hopefully we will next week because we'll be back in our division. our final score was a 47.3, which is pretty good considering last year our first competition score was a 42. i don't think we're good enough for state, but we're definitely going to regionals..... maybe maybe just maybe, if we work hard enough, we just might get a gold rating though. i dunno tho... gotta score a 70 for that... probably won't, but we'll probably get close. i don't think we really put our all into this competition like we would at district or regionals, i know it could've been better, but still, we were happy with our score. well, okay, enough of me rambling about band and being a super geek......... lol..... i'm gonna go to bed, i'm exhausted. later daze! random quote of the day...
