i sure wish i had my hat. i liked that hat. i'm gonna miss it. it's not like i don't have another one... cuz i have like, a bazillion hats... i just... liked that one. it was special. but hey, it's in God's hands now i guess. maybe some kid will find it and love it. who knows.
you know... christmas time is my favorite part of the year. not because of the presents or the food or the snow, even though those things are awesome and i wish more than anything that we would have a white christmas..... i like this time of year because of the way everybody's outlook changes. i mean, you've got people like my mom, who bust their butt trying to get everything perfect and get everything done and don't have time to stop and sit for five minutes, but i mean, overall. it's the little things, like being in the store and the cashier wishes you a safe trip home. it's bracing yourself for pinched cheeks and noisy kids, but finding out you get along with your cousins better than you thought you did. it's realizing you just spent the whole day laughing with your dad when you normally lock yourself in your room just to avoid talking to him. i know that not everyone gets that on christmas, i know a lot of people probably have a reason to hate the holidays. but the point isn't to get along with family either. it's about enjoying the simple things. ......i'm gonna admit that i'm totally insane. i actually sat in front of my washing machine this afternoon and watched the clothes spin around in circles for 10 minutes. it was AWESOME. people miss out on the simple fun stuff. yeah, i know, washing machines have nothing to do with christmas. but hey, that's okay. gotta keep the simple things in mind anyway.
well, i need to get off to bed or santa won't come lol. i just got on here to wish everyone a merry christmas, and a reminder that Jesus is the real reason for the season. happy holidays everyone.
