So, Emily wrote this excellent entry about her school year, in-depth, so I'm all jealous now and want to write one.
First block, I have US History with Coach Moyer. This guy refuses to let us fail. He has a system of corrections, which can get you one of the following four grades--100, 92, 84, or 76, depending on how many you missed and how many corrections you did. We have little reading quizzes every day that I usually get 4/5 or 5/5 on. And trust me, when there's a 4/5, I correct it. *reminds self to do correction on today's quiz* I don't have any close friends in this class, and I sit directly in front of Morgan G., whom I have never gotten along with. The people factor is very unenjoyable, as I have no one to talk to.
Chamber Choir is very fun, because it has some of my all-time favorite chorus-like people in it, such as Emily, Angela, Amanda, and Ty. And Ian is becoming a favorite as well. We haven't talked much, but I think we shall in the near future. Zack is in there, too. But as Emily said in her entry, SHUT UP about her website. It's, like, all he talks about. I was telling Kim how obsessed he is, and we decided that Zack must have his home page set to emilyrocks.com. Man, he’s obsessed.
After that is Psychology. I think I must be the only person who doesn’t know at least one person in there. It’s like, I know people in there, but I’m not friends with any of them, so I’m all alone. But I totally love Psychology and I’m sure I’ll get to know more people as time goes by. Nikki was right, Ms. Capers is an awesome teacher.
Lunch is…interesting. I sit with Robbie, Megan, and Kim. I was planning on sitting with Megan the first day, but this girl named Kayla, who I absolutely despise, sits there too, so I ate with Kim. But then after that, I sat with Robbie and Megan again because I’ll just have to get over Kayla and her dumb self. So lunch is enjoyable.
The only unenjoyable thing about Concert Choir is the fact that I have to sit between two freshmen, and one of them is Michael. It’s a shame that Kevin, Ian, and I can’t sit by each other, but since we’re the Chamber Choir tenors, we sort of need to be split up. I’m used to hearing altos in my ear, but this year, all the guys sit in one clump and girls sit on the outer edges. What I would give to go back to last year and have Kristy sitting to my left and keeping me on pitch. Or Emily. Or Angela. Or anyone but Michael, who sings flat constantly. Ack. But all in all, Concert Choir is the same.
Finally, I go to English III. I’ve not gotten the most positive comments about Ms. Cooper, but she’s not so bad so far. I hate the fact that I have no one to talk to in this class. Well, actually, the girl who sits to my right, whose name is Brittany, is actually a pretty nice person to talk to. So hopefully, there will be new friendage, which is always nice.
So my schedule rocks, but the amount of people to talk to is minimal, and it sucks.
*wishes to stay in Chamber Choir all day*
