Listening to: Kelly Clarkson - Low
So today. Geology was just lab stuff. In Chamber Choir, we selected the songs for our concert. I kind wanted to do The Lamb and get it out of the way...it sounds nice, but it's just not my favorite. But eh. We also had a tornado drill, during which Ian, Kalin, and Marie played some complicated hand game which resulted in Amanda and me getting our thighs slapped because we were on either side of them. Heh. Government. Nothing exciting today. At lunch, we looked at the newspaper, which included an article on the wonderful Emily! There was a section about the junior shirt fiasco that was an accurate representation of the real situation, not what...certain people made it out to be. And Georgia's PE class was also in the paper so we were raving out her famousness. The nickname "Ginfinity" also evolved today. Concert Choir. This tenor who graduated in 1999 came to visit and sang Hallelujah Praise The Lord in a dectet with me as the other tenor. It was...interesting. He was apparently the #1 tenor in the state one year at All-State. I also want to be in a quintet that includes Angela because we always sing together. :) And then Ty dragged me down front with him to sing Kyrie with him. I'm worried that people are going to think that I think I'm so great because I go down there all the time. I think I'll just think of it like Jason told it to me--"at least you've got the guts to go down there, which is something they don't have." Why should I care what other people think of me when I myself know that I'm not an arrogrant musical snob? I shouldn't, and I guess that's the bottom line. English. We watched some scenes from Dead Poet's Society. Maybe I should rent it. After that was work. When I came in, I was informed that NikkiG quit. I really don't know what to make of that. It seems very shady to me. She complained a lot. I think The Sunshine House pays her more, and so that's why she went full time with them. She will be missed in many ways. The kids loved her, and she was our strongest worker. Marilyn inherited her area, and I work with Ms. Pam now. Ms. Alison put the two weakest people together again. Sigh. Work is hard.
