Listening to: SC All-State SATB Choir Girls - O Pastorelle Addio
Inspired by the entry of Lauren VA, these are the books I would like to read this summer, except that I am re-reading these:
To Re-Read:
The Joy Luck Club, Amy Tan
The Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath
My Name Is Asher Lev, Chaim Potok
Harry Potter and the Prisoner Of Azkaban, J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, J.K Rowling
I am looking forward to this summer.
The week of June 13, I will be at Community Changers, a local mission opportunity sponsored by CIU.
The week of June 20, I will be at Ridgecrest in Black Mountain, NC at Church Music Leadership Week. That will be fun. The afternoons will be quite boring though. I am thankful we (I think) got the house because I can have my own room. Hopefully, I can have the room with the door that opens onto the fire escape. If I have Zelda (my laptop) by then, I can take DVDs to entertain me in the afternoon and on the drive to and from.
Purchasing Zelda is a whole other ordeal altogether. After I accept my scholarship from the Lexington County Choral Society next week, and if the Oak Grove Scholarship money can be totally transferred to me, we can get it very soon. I met Zelda today, actually. She is some kind of Toshiba with a 60 gig hard drive and 512 megs of RAM, and she is the most beautiful woman in the world. Her full name is Zelda Regina Toshiba. Isn't that the most beautiful name in the world?
Okay, and July will be mostly working except for Baptist All-State which starts June 30th and slides into the first couple of days of July. I really don't want to sit through that Bombers game.
Oh yeah, let's not forget EXPO II at Lander July 25-27 and then Carowinds in the 29th. Yes.
And then more working, my last day being August 13th, and then move-in day at Lander is August 15th, when the entries will start coming to you via my laptop.
Life is about to get exciting.
Are you taking voice lessons during the summer when you have time?
