music: Blink 182 - Wasting Time
mood: jovial
First off, EM, thank you.
And now, about my really pretty good day.
US History wasn't much. We got a new girl, and Coach Moyer was really jovial and jokish with us, which was quite a new experience. Yeah.
And then I went and bought my Everything bagel and headed to Chamber Choir, where the solos for Stand On The Rock were FINALLY assigned. Emily and I went through this whole thing last night about the solos and how I should have more confidence. She got the solo I wanted, but in truth, I wanted her to have it, because I lack the confidence to it. But, uh, good luck to Emily, Kevin, and Liz on Tuesday night. And then Mr. Brunson came to work with us on Honor And Glory in quintets. I didn't get any pointers because we discussed it last night. And that was really it.
Next up was Psychology. We moved seats and talked about random things involving personality theory. Ms. Capers is going to come to the chorus concert because Liz sang "Happy Birthday" to Alia in class and so I went up and told her Liz had a solo. So she put it on her calendar. Hee, I kinda want Ms. Capers to know I can sing too...haha.
Lunch...nothing really, except these two snotty people down the table kept giving Kim, Robbie, and me these dirty looks and Kim almost went over and started something. Hee...I wish she had. Also, said people were making out the ENTIRE lunch period between dirty looks. It was really disgusting.
Concert Choir...um...rehearsal. And Mr. Calloway made funny faces. Heehee.
Finally, English. Got a 78 on my Huck Finn test...oops. Oh, well. I can bring that up really quickly since we're in a New Nine Weeks. We started the American Renaissance and one of the things we read said something about "the man is a vegetable" and we were all like, "rnffjsdljasik?" And Mrs. Cooper was really fun too. We kept trying to get her to give us an open book test that counted three times and she was all joking with us too, which is totally out of character for her most days. We can get a laugh out of her sometimes, but we got her going today.
Post-school...went to Ms. Hayes' room with Nikki, but she was busy, so we went and hung out with (*huge breath*) Gray, Georgia, Joe, Megan, Zack, RJ, random freshman, Eric, Taylor, and Alex. And played the word game, which turned into the sex game, which turned into Georgia sitting on Gray's lap. Everyone left, and I was alone with Georgia, so we sat and chatted for a few minutes, and then I went to meet her mom. I'm glad I'm closer to Georgia. She's great.
Then was churchness, which was Judgement House, which rocked the cazbah. I'm ill at Michael though, he said, quite loudly, "Last year's was better!!!" Yeah, Kim and I let him have it, just like we love to do. But it was a good time.
So, what's coming up in La Vida de Drew?
October 18-20 - Dare 2 Share in Charlotte (entry forthcoming)
October 21 - Report cards
October 22 - Chorus Concert (entry most likely)
October 26 - Fall Festival/Bazaar to promote Canavan research
So that's really all. It's been a good day. I'm feeling better about the whole EM thing.
